The natural light outdoors is truly a natural softbox, very suitable for showcasing the material details of this costume. For this outdoor shoot, a lot of thought went into the wig styling beforehand; the pink short hair needed to be trimmed with sufficient layers to look fluffy and natural in front of the lens, while matching red-and-black bow hair accessories to fit the character's overall temperament.

In terms of clothing, this Gothic style match has a very strong visual impact. The upper body is a black corset design, spliced with a white collar and silver metal cross pendants in the middle, while the lower body features black sheer long stockings with lace garter belts, and platform Mary Jane shoes on the feet. To enhance the character's fantasy feel, long black feather props were also matched on the back, simulating the visual effect of dark wings. This superposition of multiple materials actually has quite high requirements for the lighting of outdoor shooting; dark leather surfaces and semi-transparent tulle easily lose details under natural light, so during shooting, we specially chose places with architectural shadows and reflections, using ambient light to outline the contours of the costume.

A white suitcase was chosen as the main prop during shooting. The height of the suitcase was just right for the person to sit down, forming a natural extension of the leg lines. The first picture tried the interactive feel of reaching out forward, while the second picture changed to slightly squinting and making a shushing gesture, while taking off one shoe to the side. This small detail of taking off the shoe was to break the dullness of the full-black outfit, adding a bit of casualness and a touch of daily life feel, preventing the whole frame from appearing too rigid. The posture of crossing legs while sitting on the suitcase can both well showcase the details of the Black stockings and garter belts, and make the composition look full.

Outdoor convention shooting really tests on-site adaptability. Passersby or messy items are inevitably in the background, such as the red torii gate and the modern architectural glass curtain wall behind. This collision of tradition and modernity instead formed a unique background board. When composing, I tried to use the greenery of the lawn to set off the black clothing, forming a strong color contrast. At the same time, in action design, one must balance the character's flexibility and the tension of the costume, avoiding the metal hanging ornaments or feather ribbons from tangling together due to excessive movement amplitude.

Actually, every outdoor convention shoot is a physical task, shuttling outdoors in platform shoes and complex costumes while maintaining the relaxation of expressions and limbs. But seeing the texture of light and shadow falling on the pink hair strands and Black stockings in the finished photos, and the moment when the skirt ribbons fluttered slightly with the wind, I felt that the early preparation and on-site efforts were all worth it. This outfit has numerous details, whether it's the chains on the chest or the ruffles on the cuffs, which were all well restored in front of the lens. The charm of outdoor shooting lies in the unreplicable natural light and environmental atmosphere, and every shutter click is a brand new record.
