[Theresa cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd Lunar Vow: The Alluring Charm of Red-and-Black Gothic style

For this shoot of Theresa's Lunar Vow, the set incorporated expansive red velvet, black drapes, crucifixes, and skulls, complemented by Red roses and pearl necklaces. Under the photographer's lighting setup, the high-contrast texture of red and black felt intensely striking.

This costume was remarkably difficult to wear—the skirt was extremely heavy with numerous intricate layers. Just arranging the skirt's spread and securing the leg garters took considerable time. Combined with the silver-white wig and dark red colored contact lenses, framing the right angles and expressions in front of the lens required repeated adjustments. To faithfully channel the character's dangerously elegant aura, I carefully moderated the intensity of my gaze, pairing it with poses like resting my cheek in hand, holding a Red rose, or leaning against a skull to evoke her signature atmosphere.

The photographer made masterful use of backlighting, creating a gorgeous rim light effect across the white hair, while using side light on the front to sculpt shadows. This preserved the dark essence of the Gothic style while cleanly tracing bodily contours. The choice of focal lengths was also excellent; several full-body compositions beautifully showcased the sprawling skirt and the lines of the legs in Black stockings, while half-body close-ups highlighted the elaborate chest designs and the striking details of the red pupils.

Throughout the shoot, handling numerous props within this dark-themed set was physically exhausting, requiring constant adjustments to the dress and my footing. In post-processing, we strove to preserve natural skin texture, which, paired with the slender legs and garters, created a dangerous yet mesmerizing vibe. Truly recreating the mysterious, aloof, yet subtly seductive temperament of this character made for a delightfully joyful and professional creative experience.
