Sharing the shooting process for this Aston Machan look from Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The outfit was paired with a white ruffled dress featuring reddish-brown thin trim piping; to maintain the shape of the skirt, it took quite a bit of time to iron before shooting. The ears and tail were invisibly secured, and extra effort was put into styling the fur texture so it wouldn't look unnatural against the pure white background. The head styling included matching hair accessories and a wavy curled wig, where balancing the color tone with the tail took a fair amount of color matching.

For this shoot, a high-key pure white background was chosen, with white cloth and plush rugs spread across the floor to keep the frame clean. For prop arrangement, a pink strawberry plush toy was placed alongside several yellow dessert-like trinkets and white animal plushies. White stockings were an essential element of this styling; to highlight their texture, the overhead light was adjusted, and reflectors were used to catch catchlights in the eyes.

The crouching seated pose was chosen to better display body posture and tail dynamics, but adjusting it was challenging as it required balancing the body's center of gravity. Turning back slightly toward the camera added a touch of interaction to the composition. The photographer fine-tuned the focal length to make the main subject pop. The overall atmosphere was built through the plush props and costume textures.

Because the floor was covered with plush rugs, fine shed fluff easily stuck during the shoot, requiring quick cleanups every few shots. A pure white high-key setting demands precise exposure control to avoid blown-out highlights losing detail on the white dress and White stockings. Post-processing mainly addressed these practical shooting issues with detail adjustments, such as recovering fabric shadow textures and smoothing wig strands, avoiding heavy reshaping to preserve authentic physical characteristics.

In terms of hair and makeup, the eye makeup matched the character's persona: reddish-brown eyeshadow was blended along the eyeliner to echo the hair color, paired with light-colored contact lenses. This styling demands a clean base makeup, making oil control and setting powder essential under strong studio lighting. During the shoot, I communicated with the photographer regarding suitable focal lengths. We tried various angles facing forward and sideways, ultimately selecting this shot as the cover since the tail shape looked great from the back and coordinated nicely with arm gestures.

Thorough preparation before shooting is essential—allowing time to smooth and shape the wig, leaving a margin for clothing drape, and bringing backup props. I feel this set turned out very well in the pure white environment, matching the overall styling design nicely.
