[Sora Cosplay] Yosuga no Sora Loungewear Casual White Dress Photoshoot

This photoshoot aims for an overall casual and relaxed daily home atmosphere. For the outfit, I chose this white camisole dress with a black bow tie. The spliced tulle on the lower half adds some lightness, fitting the character's cool yet innocent traits.

For the wig, I used a long, straight silver hair wig with signature blunt bangs. To recreate that slightly transparent look, I gave it a smooth finish during styling and slightly teased the top to avoid looking too flat and stiff against the scalp. For makeup, I didn't go for heavy colors but emphasized softness between the eyes, using natural, light-colored eyeshadow. The lip color is a flesh-pink that blends well with the skin tone, giving the whole look a fresh feel.

Scene arrangement is a key part of this shoot. A large grey sofa serves as the main background, paired with orange and dark grey pillows. The color contrast is not jarring but highlights the figure's white clothing well. Scattered items around include a pink phone case on the floor and other small plushies on the sofa. These details enrich the sense of daily life in the space, making the photos look not just like they were taken in a studio, but as if resting in a real home.

As for props, that grey-blue long-eared rabbit plushie runs through the entire photoshoot. Its color is a soft Morandi tone, which won't steal visual focus but complements the white dress well. During shooting, I used it for many poses, such as holding it to my chest, placing it by my legs, or holding it by hand. That casual handling better conveys the character's relaxed state. The pink phone case and the thin yellow lollipop in hand are also planned props, adding daily life fun.

For lighting, a soft-light diffuse reflection technique was used. Hard, large light sources were avoided. Instead, softboxes were used to scatter the light, giving the skin tone a translucent texture, preserving the skin's real texture, and making the dress's white tulle appear semi-transparent. The lit surface and highlight transitions on the sofa are natural. The overall tone leans cool, but the skin tone maintains a healthy glow, with high color harmony.

In terms of poses, exaggerated styles were deliberately avoided, adopting mostly daily home postures like curling up, sitting cross-legged, or sitting sideways. For example, the action of holding the phone and tilting my head to bite the lollipop in image two captures a habitual moment in life. Looking at the camera doesn't need too much expression; maintaining a faint sense of calm is enough. Poses like waving hello or bowing my head while holding the plushie are actions based on the character's quiet and introverted personality.

The post-processing retouching was done conservatively, without changing the figure's proportions too much, mainly focusing on brightening skin tone and correcting clothing details. Details like the straps on the shoulders and the treatment of wrinkles were made to look natural. The clearness of the overall image was adjusted through color balance. Low saturation and slightly increased brightness give this set of photos a visual effect that is close to daily life but with a touch of dreaminess. The shooting process was quite relaxed, focusing on recreating that atmosphere that doesn't push too hard but adequately displays the character's temperament, which I personally feel is the part that best restores the character in this photo set.
