Everything is ready, my performance is about to begin! Vol.2 of the official Kanami cosplay photoshoot set from Strinova is finally here. It was a true honor to participate as a One-day store manager in the special collaboration between Star Legend and Strinova for the Shanghai stop, hosted at Hopson One in Wujiaochang. The on-site ambiance that day was phenomenal—the arcade's neon signage and electric vibe meshed seamlessly with Kanami's battle-ready styling.

As the One-day store manager, beyond the photoshoot itself, I participated in live on-site interactions—picking up a light gun at an arcade cabinet for an exhilarating round of rail-shooting games. In terms of costume fidelity, this black-and-pink cropped top paired with a white pleated skirt, complemented by pink-trimmed white over-the-knee boots and Stockings, delivered a visual punch combining sci-fi cyber tech with youthful girl-power vitality. To match the character, I wore silver-white twintail tresses paired with vivid blue contact lenses.

To capture my most natural expressions during the shoot, photographer Masaka utilized a Sony A7M5 paired with an FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. This setup performed remarkably well under intricate indoor lighting—delivering swift autofocus and pin-sharp resolution that faithfully captured textile textures and nuanced ambient light. Throughout the shoot, I explored diverse props and setups—striking perky poses before exhibition booths or displaying the full garment profile against tropical character standees.

The most exciting frames were those seated before the arcade cabinet holding the light gun, where I had to balance actual gameplay operations with fine-tuned facial expressions and physical posture. Given the bustling, crowded arcade hall, finding flattering camera angles without disturbing fellow gamers tested both model and photographer. The kaleidoscopic array of gaming spotlights and screen glare posed major white-balance challenges; the dynamic range of the A7M5 proved invaluable, saving considerable effort during color calibration in post-production.

To perfect this set, we carried out extensive prep work on garment details—such as the interwoven pink-and-black waist belt, strapped leg garters, and metallic pendants, which were adjusted iteratively before each take. In pose choreography, I aligned closely with her temperament—from the effortless poise of wielding a firearm single-handedly to the playful charm of holding up a calendar booklet—striving to build a multifaceted character through body language and focused eye contact. From initial setup to final delivery, the shoot underwent numerous wardrobe adjustments and detail refinements. I hope these images convey the unmistakable charm of Kanami and share the boundless joy of that day on set. This collaboration and shoot were truly precious experiences, and I will continue working hard to bring you even higher-quality works.
