This Iuno photoshoot was completed in a small DIY white studio at home. Previously, I always felt the space at home was too limited, but after gradually refining the lighting and seamless background paper, I discovered that as long as you control focal lengths and perspective well, even a compact room can yield remarkable results. Collaborating with photographer Xingqi went incredibly smoothly. The metallic luster and fabric drape of the costume were exceptional; to complement the exotic aesthetic of this attire, we prepared a clear blue sphere as a prop, alongside long golden chains to enrich the compositional depth.

The greatest advantage of White studio photography at home is complete creative freedom—no rushing against rental studio clocks, allowing ample time to micro-adjust light positions. This time, we primarily deployed two lights: the key light with a softbox struck from diagonally above to preserve the specular highlights on the metallic cuirass, while a fill light from the flank lifted shadow areas to prevent crushed blacks. The high saturation of the blue wig paired with the light-blue backdrop paper kept the overall color palette beautifully cohesive.

Because the character design demands specific posing postures, we experimented with Iuno action direction during the session. For instance, leveraging the forced perspective of a wide-angle lens by extending a leg or foot directly toward the camera created a striking visual foreshortening impact. This shooting technique sets high demands on focal point accuracy and depth-of-field control, requiring continuous verification of the camera's focus tracking area while the model maintains rigid limb stability—a genuine test of endurance and core strength.

This set includes numerous profile and seated compositions. When seated, paying close attention to weight distribution and keeping the spine upright ensures the upper-body lines look flattering and defined. The sash belt and leg bandage wraps also required smoothing out after every posture adjustment to ensure zero mistakes in the details. Even though it was an at-home shoot, the final image quality easily rivals professional commercial studios. Seeing our little home white studio gradually come together and delivering satisfying Anime-style photography official frames right from home feels deeply rewarding.
