[Sandrone Cosplay] Becoming the Most Exquisite Marionette in a Vintage Study

For this shoot, we selected a classic Vintage study backdrop—solid wood bookshelves filling the walls, a globe, a grandfather clock, and scattered antique books completely maxed out the atmosphere. The costume uses a black, white, and red palette with a touch of Gothic Lolita aesthetics. Highlights include the white ruffle trim and long red ribbons on the headpiece, while waist cutout patterns and gemstone inlays add refinement. Detachable black long sleeves with white gloves, paired with over-the-knee white stockings and red-and-black chunky heels, give the entire silhouette an elegant yet distant demeanor.

To evoke the feel of an "exquisite creation," we sourced small props like gold-rimmed teacups and vintage picture frames, hoping to bring out a quiet, mysterious narrative. For lighting, warm backlighting combined with lens flare created a dreamy, ethereal aesthetic. This hair and makeup styling required meticulous attention to detail; skirt layers and lace trims took careful adjustment, and the wig underwent layered trimming to restore the fluffy volume on top.

When sitting at the desk or holding the back of a chair, controlling body language was essential to maintain the supple yet artificial grace of an "engineered puppet"—neither overly rigid nor too relaxed. Desk drawers and scattered books provided tremendous help, giving the composition richer narrative space. The shooting process was physically demanding due to repeatedly adjusting heavy props like the grandfather clock and globe, as well as the drape of the skirt and red ribbons, but seeing the final renders made every effort worthwhile.
