[Lynae Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Summer Swimsuit: A Refreshing Recreation in a White Studio - Image 2

This white background photography session of Lynae's swimsuit look captures the character's summer vibe under clear environmental light. Choosing a pure white background for the shoot ensures that all attention is focused on the color palette of the outfit and the character's own temperament. Lynae's design inherently carries a sense of lightness and agility, and this swimsuit set amplifies that fresh quality.

For the hair and makeup, her long golden hair is styled into twin braids, keeping the character's iconic hair accessories, with white flowers dotted between her hair, perfectly matching the overall elegant and subtle color scheme. To make the makeup better suit the high-brightness environment of the white studio, the base makeup uses a matte texture. The focus is on using pink-toned eyeshadow and glitter to embellish around the eyes. Paired with star-shaped sequins, it looks both dreamy and a bit playful in front of the lens without feeling too heavy.

Regarding the outfit, the off-the-shoulder tulle top is one of the highlights of this look. The material was specifically chosen to be a light gauze with a certain breathability, allowing the light to pass through and make the white fabric look even more feather-light. The gradient blend from light blue to cyan gives a visual sensation similar to water ripples, fitting the summer swimsuit theme perfectly. The small yellow badge on the chest and the white flowers on the side of the waist form a color pop, preventing the primarily white top from looking monotonous. The washed, distressed denim shorts paired for the bottom half add a balance of everyday wear and vitality. The cyan drawstring matches the gradient of the top; consistency in the details is very important.

Many small details were considered for the accessories as well. A white collar paired with a necklace featuring a seashell pendant conveys a beach vacation vibe. Although the leather thigh strap on her leg is made of a hard material, it is handled with white straps and fine chains, so the overall look doesn't feel overly rigid but instead beautifully accentuates the leg lines. The teardrop-shaped yellow earrings and the pink and pearl bracelets on the wrists are all small embellishments that add rich layers to the overall styling.

During the shoot, relatively soft side and top lights were set up in the studio, allowing the highlights to fall on the shoulders and collarbones, which perfectly accentuates the off-the-shoulder design of the outfit while making the transitions of light and shadow on the face more natural. For the standing pose and gestures, I referenced some of the character's habitual movements, using a slightly relaxed hands-on-hips stance and offset leg placement to showcase the casual feel of the swimsuit. For shoes, thick-soled woven straw sandals were chosen, which elongate body proportions without straying from the vacation atmosphere of the look.

In fact, releasing this kind of lightweight swimsuit cosplay look is always a great test of cooperation between the makeup/hair stylist and the costume designer. It requires ensuring both the fit of the clothing and its stability under motion, while keeping the makeup clean and dimensional under the intense light of the flash. Being able to achieve the results of this photo set in the white studio is truly inseparable from the meticulous adjustments made by the staff. For an anime cosplay look with so many monochromatic elements, the biggest fear during shooting is messy creases on the clothes or a disheveled wig, so we had to stop and tidy up the details every few sets. Fortunately, in the final photos, the overall state feels quite relaxed, and this sense of relaxation is exactly the essence that this styling requires.
