[Robin cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail x Fanta collab edition, vacant eyes capturing the character's charm - Image 1

Shooting this Fanta collaboration cosplay look for Robin had a more lively and casual feel compared to her standard version. Since her character design inherently features a signature blue-and-purple color scheme, color coordination became the focus during styling. To get as close as possible to the collab version's visual effect, I made quite a few adjustments to hair, makeup, and details.

First, regarding the cosplay wig: I chose strands with a gradient from blue-purple to silver-white, with reflective tinsel strands specially woven in to look more layered and dynamic on camera. The bangs were trimmed light and airy, framing the face nicely without obscuring eye makeup details. The gradient transition from white at the crown to purple felt quite natural without sharp harsh lines, showing crisp hair strand textures under shifting studio lights.

Eye makeup was the absolute core of the whole look and key to capturing her aura. To suit the collab vibe, I wore dewy emerald green circle lenses with a dark outer ring, making the eyes look bright and clear. Thick, lengthening upper false lashes combined with lower lashes enlarged the eye shape, creating a BJD doll-like visual effect. Notably, adding a slightly raised blue line above the brow bone paired with long lower lashes enhanced facial dimensional contrast and anime doll vibes. For blush, I focused on circular blending under the eyes over the apples of the cheeks to brighten the complexion while adding a cute, dazed charm. Accented with a small heart sticker on the side of my cheek, the colors echoed key elements of the collaboration.

The lip makeup, aligned with the base makeup, took a clear and dewy approach; a nude pink cinnamon shade with a plump lip effect balanced out the dramatic eye makeup so the overall look didn't feel overly heavy. The base makeup was kept very clean, showing smooth, flawless skin texture under close-ups and studio lights alike.

As for outfit accessories, a thin blue choker adorned with two round buttons in different colors—one orange and one black—accented the neck space nicely. A basic white tank top provided a clean, refreshing style, with an orange bag strap on the right side complementing the choker's orange button. Two tiny orange-and-green heart stickers placed near the collarbones added a playful touch in close-up shots despite their small size.

The shooting angle used a high-angle close-up from above to emphasize facial makeup details and eye expression. In line with the post description mentioning "gazing blankly," it was an attempt to shape a naive yet cute, dazed visual effect. Personally, I feel collab-style cosplays need the essence of the original character, and this slightly spaced-out, effortless moment caught that atmosphere even better. However, due to shooting angles and lens distortion, it might slightly lack the original design's calm composure, so adding an "OOC apology" was my way of showing respect to this look and the Honkai: Star Rail collaboration project. Overall, shooting this set was a wonderful experience, fulfilling expectations for atmospheric feel and styling details. I hope everyone can feel the unique charm of this collab look!
