This Honkai: Star Rail Robin Qingge swimsuit set took a lot of thought from preparation to shooting. To match the character's temperament, I tried many makeup approaches, especially for the eye makeup, using a large area of red eyeshadow blended with clear blue circle lenses, hoping to evoke that slight intoxicated feeling of a summer beach. A touch of blush was intentionally swept across the nose tip and eye area to enhance that anime-specific innocence. The wig was also meticulously styled: light purple slightly wavy long hair paired with white pentagram hair clips, along with purple-white gradient feather earrings on both sides, yielding a wonderful texture. The floating halo on the headpiece is also the soul of this styling; it needs to be fixed slightly behind the crown to maintain a natural floating sensation during shooting. The design of the costume itself is extremely delicate; the blue-and-white color-blocked bikini swimsuit not only features glossy blue trim along the edges, but the star elements on the chest also received a three-dimensional treatment. What attracted me most was the ring of decorations around the waist composed of sunflowers, orange flowers, and pearl chains, adding plenty of vitality to the overall look. The white high-slit skirt on the lower half and the blue translucent sheer shawl are a match made in heaven; the sheer material has exceptional light transmission under studio lighting, so with just a slight movement or a gentle lift by hand, that ethereal, flowing feeling emerges. The dark blue wide choker and thin silver necklace layered on the neck are also clever little touches to elevate the detail feel. This shoot chose an indoor constructed pool set design, featuring blue-and-white mosaic tiles and cool metal ladders, perfectly recreating the summer beach atmosphere. The background was also decorated with fishing nets, artificial palm trees, yellow duck swimming rings, and even a patch of artificial sand, making the entire scene look richer and more three-dimensional. When posing, because the costume design is quite cool and revealing, I paid special attention to body stretching and line presentation. For example, when sitting on the ladder, I would cross my legs as much as possible to make the leg lines look smoother, while adjusting the arm position to avoid blocking the floral waist decoration. When standing, I utilized the extensibility of the shawl, lightly touching my head with one hand and lifting the skirt hem with the other, letting the blue sheer fabric unfold before the lens to enrich the layering of the frame. Regarding lighting, to highlight skin texture and the sheer fabric's light transmittance, the photographer used bright studio lights while keeping shadow softness under control. The entire shooting process was thoroughly enjoyable; bringing a 2D character into reality, every press of the shutter is an effort to restore that wonderful feeling brought by the character. I hope this set of photos conveys that refreshing summer breath.
