Collaborating with @扶摇沐沐 on this dual official photoshoot was truly a dream crossover. We respectively brought to life Cyrene cosplay from Honkai: Star Rail and Elysia Cosplay from Honkai Impact 3rd. To ensure that our characters were clearly distinguished yet visually harmonious when sharing the frame, we dedicated immense effort to costume and styling. Both wigs were custom-tailored and styled in pink palettes; to make the hair strands appear airy and translucent, we smoothed them repeatedly with flat irons and volumized the crowns with styling spray. Applying the silicone elf-ear props was quite a technical test—they had to be secured to the ears using specialized skin adhesive, with the edges carefully blended using concealer to prevent any seams from showing on camera.
For makeup, the main focus was sculpting the eyes. We wore blue-violet colored contacts, softly blending pink and light purple eyeshadow in subtle gradients around the outer corners, and dotting white pearlescent shimmer along the lower eyelids to capture an elf-like, ethereal translucence. The outfit on the left leaned into a magical fantasy style and was packed with intricate details: the blue-to-purple gradient skirt featured a pearlescent shimmer coating that created a sparkling, rippling effect when spinning, paired with white cut-out sleevelets and metallic gemstone ornaments on the bodice. The outfit on the right was a bridal-style Western dress combining sheer lace with voluminous puff sleeves along the neckline and arms, accented with pink and blue ribbons cascading along the waist.
We also distinguished our leg styling. The right side chose seamless pure white tights paired with white high heels adorned with golden crescent moons and pink roses. The left side wore semi-sheer White stockings, featuring floral tattoo stickers applied along the outer left leg to enrich composition details, completed with silver high heels featuring clear bows. For studio shooting requirements, the shoe soles were treated in advance with anti-slip and anti-reflective coatings.
The studio set utilized abundant white rose vines, Roman columns, and plaster statues. The overarching lighting leaned toward high-key brightness, employing large softboxes to craft a sacred, luminous atmosphere. To evoke a sense of twin-like bonding, we had plenty of intimate, close interactions during the shoot—such as adjusting each other's skirts and bridal veils, or fine-tuning shoulder angles. The silicone elf ears loosened midway through shooting due to perspiration, but we swiftly reinforced them during makeup touch-up breaks. Thanks to our existing rapport, the entire photoshoot progressed smoothly, and the resulting chiaroscuro and textures fully achieved the vision we envisioned.
