This Honor of Kings Chang'e - "Stellar Vessel" cosplay project demanded meticulous dedication from initial conception to final realization. Being a Mid-Autumn cosplay theme, our set design deliberately emphasized the serene, dreamlike chill of the Lunar Palace. Dialing in the angle and luminosity of the colossal illuminated moon prop in the background took immense effort, positioning it just right to trace a soft, backlit rim along the silver-white wig fibers. In terms of attire, the "Stellar Vessel" skin architecture is rich in layered depth; its blue, white, and gold palette appeared remarkably translucent beneath deep blue illumination, with metal accents along the shoulders and waist catching keylights with stunning tactile clarity. To reproduce the fluid, wave-like buoyancy of the original splash art, I specifically selected transparent PVC fabrics of varying gauges to craft the floating ribbons encircling my body, dusting them with fine glitter flakes. During the shoot, maintaining suspended and reclined postures to keep the ribbons looking as though they floated across water tested my core strength considerably.

For makeup, I accentuated the contours of the eye area, layering silver-white eyeshadow and shimmer particles to deepen orbital dimension, paired with elongated lashes to infuse my gaze with celestial elegance. To preserve the wig's airy flow and lustrous sheen under intense studio lights, I applied generous amounts of hair oil and setting spray, ensuring an organic, weighted drape. The props team embellished the set with lush arrangements of blue and white florals, including hydrangeas and cherry blossoms, complemented by a suspended golden bunny silhouette—details curated to cultivate the moon palace's mystical lore.

The ambient lighting leaned toward a moody, cool-toned palette. To keep skin tones clean and luminous rather than muddy, contrast curves were elevated during post-processing while keeping deep shadows pure and rich. Seeing the floral boughs, the glowing moon, water ripples, and subject meld into one frame fully fulfilled my dream of Chang'e's otherworldly aura.

While climbing onto elevated pedestals in high heels and cumbersome garments was physically exhausting, the resulting atmospheric depth made every minute worthwhile. The Mid-Autumn season aligns flawlessly with Chang'e's poetic essence; bringing an imaginative vision to life through lighting, scenic craft, and costume artistry fills me with pride as a cosplayer. I am thoroughly pleased with the tactile textures of the set and wardrobe, and I hope everyone feels the tranquil Mid-Autumn majesty radiating from the Lunar Palace.
