[Sakeer cosplay] Honor of Kings Sea Salt Poetic Journey anime convention photos

Finally received the convention photos from Day 2 of the Shenzhen Anime Festival, and this time I cosplayed Sakeer's Sea Salt Poetic Journey from Honor of Kings. The color scheme of this skin is extremely refreshing, featuring a blue-and-white top paired with dark shorts, along with an oversized light blue cape in the back. To restore the character's energetic vibe, I specially wore a bright red double-braided pigtail wig and tied leather leg rings on my legs. The overall look appears very energetic.

Shooting on the day of the anime convention was actually quite challenging. The D2 venue was crowded with people coming and going, and the lighting was also relatively complex, but we still tried every possible means to find suitable angles. The photographer specially prepared a high stool, and the first picture was shot while sitting on it. To prevent the skirt hem from bunching up, I could only perch lightly on the edge, stretching one leg forward and letting the other leg hang down naturally, which not only makes the leg lines look slender but also fully showcases the white stockings and small black leather shoes. The gesture of touching the head with one hand combined with the palm spread outward just nicely brought up the cape behind me.

The semi-crouching gesture pointing to the sky in the second picture was actually shot from a very low upward angle. At that time, I knelt on one knee, trying my best to stretch my arm to point obliquely upward, while the cape naturally spread out on the ground. This posture extremely tests core strength; even a slight instability would cause swaying. However, the sense of motion breaking through constraints in the final photo is very strong, and the dark blue edges and white cloud patterns of the cape appear very clear under the cold light. The standing posture in the third picture is one that I personally like very much: the left hand gently touches the side of the ear, the right hand hangs down naturally, utilizing the draping feel of the cape itself to create a relaxed yet multi-dimensional atmosphere.

For the one sitting on the ground in the fifth picture, I tried a combination of cross-legged and one-leg bent-knee postures, extending my left hand toward the lens in an attempt to create a sense of interaction. Because the cape is very long, when sitting on the ground, it forms a huge blue fan shape behind me, which, combined with the reflection of the gray concrete floor, has a very atmospheric feel. Pictures four and six are close-up shots, mainly highlighting the facial makeup and the blue-green circle lenses in the eyes. The wig actually got a bit tangled during the shooting process, especially the two thick braided pigtails, which frequently got tangled in the cape when shaking my head and turning around, requiring assistance from the on-site helper to tidy it up every time.

This set of pictures was rush-edited, and the post-processing direction leans towards a cool tone, darkening the originally complex warm light in the venue and unifying it into a blue-gray-ish texture. As a result, the bright blue of the cape and the red hair form a very strong visual contrast. The white stockings also look exceptionally clean against the dark-toned background. Although cosplaying at an anime convention is hard work, and shuttling through the venue wearing a heavy cape is also tiring, the moment I saw the finished photos, all this fatigue completely dissipated. Every click of the shutter is a re-understanding of the character, and through continuous pose adjustments, I also found a better way of expression. I hope the agility and freedom of this Sea Salt Poetic Journey set can be conveyed through these few photos.
