For this Haoqi Blue cosmetic look of Shuoxue Qixiu loli, the shooting location was selected in a classical landscaped garden featuring rockeries and a lotus pond. I had always wanted to shoot a set featuring the cool, aloof Haoqi color palette for Qixiu loli, and this plan has finally come to fruition.

Let's begin with the costume details. This blue-and-white look harmoniously fuses silk, lightweight sheer fabric, and localized lace patchwork in its textures. The white lace and blue rhinestone accents on the cuffs are design elements I deeply appreciate, offering both the lightness of sheer gauze and intricate refinement. To complement this cosmetic appearance, I chose long straight black hair styled with matching blue ribbons and silver beaded ornaments. The overall headpieces were moderate in quantity and weight, preserving the exquisite classical aesthetic of the Qixiu sect while avoiding excessive burden during long shoots, making it easy to maintain relaxed facial expressions.

In terms of makeup, to match the 'Haoqi' aura, I opted for a fair and radiant base to capture the cool, translucent complexion typical of game characters. The eyebrows were drawn softly, while the eye makeup avoided exaggeration, emphasizing curled lashes and a natural eyeliner extension to keep the gaze focused without weighing down the makeup. For the lips, an orange-toned red was selected to gently warm up the complexion against the cool blue-and-white garments, bringing more vitality to the character.

In photographic concept, I leaned toward conveying casual gentleness and tranquility rather than tense posing or combat readiness. Thus, we created the pose in Photo 1 leaning against the redwood railing with eyes closed for a brief rest, and Photo 2 resting my chin on one hand while gazing into the distance. The key to these poses lies in relaxing the spine and shoulders; if the posture is rigid, that effortless ease cannot emerge. In Photo 2, resting my elbow steadily on the railing and leaning my chin lightly against the back of my hand while gazing to the left perfectly cultivated a contemplative mood for this Chinese-style photography.

Synergy with the shooting environment was equally crucial. We chose a quiet waterside pavilion where red wooden railings served as natural accents, creating a warm-cool contrast with the blue robes. The lotus flowers in the background were in full bloom, with pink buds and green leaves acting as blurred foregrounds and backgrounds to infuse summer vitality into the composition. This authentic natural ambient lighting felt far more vivid than harsh artificial studio lights and compositing. The water reflections and dark tones of the stone embankment also provided visual depth against the white collar, making the portrait appear more three-dimensional.

However, the shoot came with minor hurdles. Due to the off-the-shoulder design and the humid summer weather, mosquitoes were quite active by the outdoor water; maintaining elegant poses while dealing with insects required true composure. Additionally, the red railings reflected intense light that could cast an unwanted reddish hue on the skin if angles were mismanaged, so we lowered exposure compensation appropriately to soften the illumination.

The overall shooting atmosphere was very relaxing. Rather than chasing grand scale, we focused on delivering fine details and genuine emotion. In post-processing, only basic color adjustments were applied to preserve the crisp, natural tone of the raw shots without excessive skin airbrushing or contour warping. After all, the style of Qixiu inherently favors agility and graceful elegance, and keeping this authenticity felt far more fitting. This quiet set of Traditional style cosplay photos serves as an honest record of this cosmetic set. I hope this unique experience beside the summer lotus pond reaches everyone viewing these photos.
