Here are all the Convention photo sets from the two days at Zhongshan AS Comic Convention. I specifically brought friends along to handle logistics and hold reflectors, ensuring clean, flattering in-camera lighting right from the start. My personal workflow prioritizes dialing in accurate colors and balanced exposure straight out of camera—neither underexposed nor blown out—so post-processing doesn't require harsh exposure pushes, keeping facial tones radiant and translucent. The camera positions were mainly mid-to-low angles, using wide-angle perspective to subtly stretch proportions so leg lines look exceptional, making the sets featuring stockings effortless to shoot. For example, the first red-and-black look paired with Black stockings in a kneeling pose from a mid-to-low vantage point visually elongated the legs. The fourth look with white stockings seated on a ladder also utilized low-angle framing to accentuate leg contours and costume details. The fifth look's oversized wings were crafted from extremely lightweight material; catching them billowing required burst shooting to nail the perfect frame.
The primary goal of attending Zhongshan AS Comic Convention for both days was finding fellow cosplayers for collaborative projects. To maximize shoot efficiency, TFCD photoshoot collaborations are open exclusively to female cosplayers portraying female characters. Please avoid vague inquiries—state the exact character clearly. Having a friend along for logistics to help with reflectors is highly preferred, as it dramatically improves in-camera results. In addition to mutual collaborations, paid bookings are wide open: male-to-female crossplay, female-to-male crossplay, and both male and female characters are all welcome, provided you have a defined vision for your cosplay. Overall, the two days of shooting were a blast. Getting the lighting right in-camera elevates the entire frame's texture, and keeping both facial tones and body shadows clean makes post-processing far more natural.
