[Xaihi cosplay] Arknights: Endfield Xaihi's Data Light Streams

The styling and shooting process for this Xaihi cosplay (Xaihi cosplay from Arknights: Endfield) truly took a lot of thought. The outfit is packed with mechanical patchwork details, and the mixed fabric textures really tested the garment's structure—especially the arm and shoulder armor pieces, which required lengthy adjustments to fit snugly without looking overly bulky. The headgear device paired with long flowing teal hair and elf ears created a cool, sharp, and mysterious demeanor overall.

This shoot took place under complex lighting conditions at an anime convention. The photographer made clever use of the booth installations and cable elements on site, which, combined with post-processed Holographic projection effects, crafted a sci-fi atmosphere of digital glitches and flowing mechanical data streams. Pre-shoot discussions focused on the direction of light for close-ups and full-body compositions; during the shoot, large apertures were used to blur out the cluttered background, highlighting the character's gaze and the polearm weapon in hand.

To match the Cyberpunk aesthetic of Endfield blending slight wasteland vibes with surrealism, we added extensive cyan and magenta neon glows in post-processing, deliberately incorporating subtle signal interference glitches to enhance the interactive feel between mechanical tentacles and floating screens. The flowing motion of the long hair was achieved on the fly using wind props, while the pearlescent and semi-transparent fabrics of the skirt refracted rich colors at specific angles.

I was in great shape on shooting day and quickly found standing stances that harmonized with the polearm weapon. Due to heavy foot traffic at the venue, many angles had to be captured candidly, relying on the photographer's sharp capture instincts. Although the prop had minimal actual weight, wielding it still demanded physical control. During post-processing, we preserved vintage static screen elements from retro televisions, creating a stark contrast against the high-tech magic circle before me—this collision of elements across different eras added rich layering to the photo set.

Putting on and taking off this costume was quite intricate, leaving me rather tired after a full day, but seeing the final visual presentation made every bit of hard work worthwhile. The overall style blends mechanical, classical, and sci-fi elements comfortably. I hope everyone can feel Xaihi's rational and composed temperament conveyed through these images.
