The lighting setup actually took a long time to dial in, as overly harsh lighting easily casts unflattering shadows on the face. Throughout the shoot, I continually verified composition with the photographer. To prevent visual slip-ups, I paid special attention to the headdress and the ruffles on both sides when adjusting poses so they wouldn't get cropped out. To maintain the lively feel of this pose, we took dozens of shots back and forth.

Overall, the recreation of this styling was handled with great care and attention to detail. Substantial time was invested in refining everything from the texture of the headdress to the symmetry of the collar. Although the outfit felt somewhat stuffy throughout the shoot, every bit of effort was necessary to deliver a stunning visual.
