[Altria cosplay] Chilling Trial in the Vehicle: Saber Alter from Fate/Grand Order

The final photos from my recent Saber Alter shoot are here. Instead of going outdoors, I opted for a car interior photoshoot. The relatively enclosed space inside the vehicle, paired with dark black seats and subtle roof lighting, created a cool-toned atmosphere that aligned perfectly with Altria's chilly demeanor after her corruption.

The makeup and styling prioritized the eyes and facial expression. Since the soul of this character lies in a commanding, intimidating stare, I selected golden-brown contact lenses that looked remarkably translucent in low light. For eye makeup, I elongated the eyeliner and accentuated lash density—particularly on the lower lashes—to give the eyes a doll-like, captivating charge on camera. For the base, thorough hydration was followed by a lightweight foundation to achieve a matte, translucent finish, keeping my complexion clean under diffuse in-car lighting. I gently smoothed the bangs of the silver-white wig to create a natural drape free of rigid lines, beautifully framing my face like a true 2D anime girl.

The costume was another core focus. The deep navy halter top had a subtle sheen that cast delicate reflections under vehicle lighting. Symmetrical silver-white embroidery on the chest elevated its delicate quality, preventing solid fabric from looking flat. To complement the neckline, I added a black choker, which served as a visual focal point to flatter the neck and infuse a mysterious, stoic aura. I adjusted my shoulder and neck posture to accentuate the collarbones, giving a lean, statuesque silhouette. As I moved, the halter straps swayed gently in harmony with the choker, adding dimensional depth to the side profile.

Throughout the shoot, I collaborated with the photographer on poses to channel a confident, slightly cynical melancholy. The first photo looks straight into the lens with relaxed arms to capture regal authority; the second turns sideways while lightly touching my hair to highlight the neckline and chest; the third rests an index finger against my chin with a sideways glance to introduce subtle interaction and allure. I used the varying heights of the vehicle seats to adjust my center of gravity for balanced compositions. Utilizing side window light as the key source and interior cabin lights for fill eliminated unflattering shadows, rendering smooth skin textures. Nailing the gaze took multiple attempts—aiming for haughty aloofness without crossing into harsh unapproachability.

Overall, this shoot was another exploration into Altria's complex personality. The clean final frames met my expectations for sharp gaze and character presence, delivering a deeply textured set. Cosplaying this character always requires deliberate posture control to match her slender yet formidable presence. Moving forward, I want to refine expressing that innate coldness even deeper, while continuing to explore composition within tight vehicular spaces. I look forward to experimenting with Saber Alter under more diverse lighting setups next time.
