This Drunken Jalter look for Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) was a project shot immediately after scheduling with the photographer last month. To be honest, when choosing this theme, I kept thinking about how to combine this seemingly casual yet bold outfit with her "tsundere and dangerously alluring" setting in Fate/Grand Order. The venue chosen this time was a bar with a vintage vibe; the warm yellow bar counter lights paired with a dark wood liquor cabinet background merged seamlessly with the satin texture of this dark purple dress.

Let's talk about the costume details first. The black horned headpiece was actually quite tricky to secure. For the wig, I selected a slightly voluminous short silver-white wig with subtle curls at the ends, ensuring the layers of the hair remained clearly outlined even in relatively dim lighting. The bow tie at the neck and the tiny red beads adorning the lace cuffs are all details requiring delicate management, and combined with long gloves covering the forearms, the overall outfit coordination really tested makeup execution and posture. I intentionally used dark red and purple smudging for my eye makeup that day to make my gaze appear slightly more aggressive, matching the dress's color palette.

During the shoot, the biggest challenge was maintaining a relaxed posture that felt "tipsy yet composed." To capture that so-called "lazy aura," I often had to lean halfway against the bar counter while managing leg curves—purple thigh-high socks already demand a lot in terms of leg shape, and paired with black high heels, sitting naturally and stylishly on a leather bar stool required communicating each leg angle with the photographer repeatedly. Holding various props was also fun; sometimes holding a goblet, sometimes holding that red liquor bottle, immersing myself completely in the vibe of a bartender or bar regular, almost feeling as though I had actually just had a glass of rye whiskey.

This dark-toned satin dress generated a beautiful subtle sheen under the bar's warm lights. As light and shadow fell across the skirt and long gloves, the texture was immediately brought to life. I really enjoy settings like this that don't require heavy set decoration to produce great results; as long as the angle is right, the outfit's natural sheen enriches the entire frame. Moreover, the dark purple hue of the costume formed a richly layered ambient contrast with the colorful bottles in the background, resulting in pleasing colors straight out of the camera that required very little heavy post-processing color grading.

In cosplay, beyond replicating character designs, many players also focus on "how to breathe soul into the interpretation." Before this shoot, I specifically rewatched in-game storylines and bond interactions. Since fans jokingly call her "the easiest woman in Chaldea to win over," I wanted to convey her innate gap-moe personality through relaxed poses and unforced expressions. For instance, sitting in a single armchair holding a golden goblet without forcing any battle-ready stance made her look more like a mysterious visitor enjoying her alone time.

On the day of the shoot, a few small mishaps occurred. For example, the headpiece kept pulling the wig up slightly, requiring the makeup artist to dash over and smooth it down repeatedly; also, the satin dress wrinkled easily, so the skirt hem needed neatening after every pose change. Achieving perfection in every detail within such a relatively tight bar space truly required immense patience. Fortunately, the final Cosplay photoshoot results were extremely satisfying, preserving all those subtle expressions and movements captured on camera.

Overall, this was a photoshoot experience steeped in a tipsy vibe, completely different from the usual large-scale, heavy-action battle cosplays. This Bar atmosphere themed photo set placed greater emphasis on ambient mood and emotional expression in front of the lens. I hope this photo set allows everyone to see a different facet of this character interpretation.
