This Overwatch Juno costume features an incredible amount of detail, from the white plush cat-ear hat and the zipper design at the back to the red-and-white knit wrist guards, all staying faithfully true to the original design. On shoot day, the main focus was capturing the character's lively, nimble, and spirited youthful vibe. We chose a location with bright, geometric architectural walls, where bold color blocks of blue and orange perfectly matched the character's outfit palette.

In terms of props, the pink-and-white water gun in hand has wonderful texture, with fine spray-paint detailing and a satisfying heft. Although the oversized gauntlets on my hands limited finger mobility, they shaped my overall body proportions to look much more like an adorable 2D anime girl. For makeup, I used a pastel pink blush paired with a blonde wig and blue contact lenses, giving my facial features greater definition.

For posing, the design heavily emphasized the character's playful personality—such as striking a side-profile peace sign, a single-leg hopping leap, or perching on a low wall while making cat-paw gestures. These poses demand good balance; for instance, the single-leg standing shot required finding the right anchor point, otherwise the posture would quickly collapse on camera. The seated shots aimed to accentuate the white leg warmers and red bows on my legs, highlighting the full silhouette of the lower costume.

The shift in lighting during the shoot was also fascinating. Thanks to the large areas of blue in the background and the use of reflectors, my skin tone looked exceptionally translucent. For this kind of cosplay, conveying emotion through the eyes is essential, coordinating with different camera angles to radiate that signature vitality. The tailoring of the outfit was great, and the stretchy fabric ensured broad poses never felt restricted. The photographer's framing and candid captures were superb, seamlessly blending the perspective of the props with the subject to produce fantastic atmosphere. Portraying Juno allowed me to connect with her relaxed, carefree demeanor; while trying out various poses, I fully immersed myself in that perky, cheerful persona through my gaze and body language. I'm extremely satisfied with the synergy between hair, makeup, and costume this time, and I'm happy to share a few little tips on this Moe-style outfit coordination with fellow fans.
