This casual Altria cosplay set was shot at home, mainly aiming to recreate the relaxing home atmosphere of Today's Menu for the Emiya Family. For the outfit, I chose the most classic white shirt paired with a dark blue bow tie, neatly tied to sit just right at the collar. For the lower half, a high-waisted dark blue pleated JK uniform skirt was selected, with the waistline positioned just above the navel. This high-waisted design does a great job of elongating the lower body proportions.

The choice of black tights is the highlight of this styling. Instead of picking a very sheer style, I opted for black pantyhose with some thickness and a matte texture. Paired with the knee-length pleated skirt, the overall visual focus is directed toward the lines of the legs. I also carefully styled the wig, specially coaxing out that signature upright cowlick (ahoge) at the crown, with the bangs trimmed just short enough to keep my vision clear, and the side locks draping naturally along the contours of my face.

I put some subtle thought into the shooting angles for these three photos. The first is a full-body mirror selfie standing pose. Angling my chin slightly down and holding the phone in front of my face keeps the composition clean while highlighting the overall drape of the uniform. The shoulder lines of the white shirt were widened slightly to add structure and give the outfit a crisper silhouette.

I absolutely love the composition of the second photo. Sitting on a white chair with one leg extended forward naturally displays the leg lines encased in the black tights outfit and shows off the spread of the pleated skirt's folds. I held a black cooking pot as a prop, which fits the cooking scenes in Today's Menu for the Emiya Family perfectly. It's not too distracting, yet it injects a touch of real-life warmth into this casual wear, saving it from the stiffness of a forced photoshoot.

The third photo was shot sitting flat on the floor with my legs tucked in and the pot resting on my lap, presenting an even cozier and more relaxed home state. This angle beautifully captures the layered transition between the hem of the pleated skirt and the black tights. For the lighting setup, I used a soft continuous key light from the front-left. The gentle illumination highlights the texture of the white shirt against the sharp contrast of the dark blue pleated skirt, bringing out a clean and translucent casual cosplay vibe.

For the makeup, I steered away from heavy stage makeup to keep things casual, focusing instead on contouring and brightening the skin tone. After all, this casual outfit is all about comfort and naturalness; overly dramatic makeup would clash with the character's daily life setting in this Fate spin-off. While shooting in this space, my cat's litter box and pet bed accidentally made it into the frame, which ironically added to the genuine slice-of-life reality.

While sorting through these photos, I was also reflecting on the indoor set. Using white curtains as the background provides an excellent soft-box effect. Underpinned by the white shirt, the blue bow tie and dark blue pleated skirt look incredibly clean and harmonious. The color pairing of the black pantyhose and the dark hemline looks very natural, achieving a great visual balance. The green plush cover on the air conditioner overhead and the wall clock also added a few splashes of color to the frame.

I think the most enduring charm of this look is its practicality—you could wear it right out onto the street without looking out of place at all. Even without her magnificent armor and complex weapons, the combination of the bow tie, skirt hem, and black tights outfit elements accurately translates the essence of the character's everyday demeanor. For friends who like trying casual cosplay, if you want to shoot this style, pay extra attention to ironing the clothes flat and keeping the pleats of the skirt well-defined. This will dramatically increase your success rate, ensuring the overall quality doesn't take a hit.
