[Shinonome Ena Cosplay] Nightcord at 25:00 Exclusive Birthday Party Moment in Project Sekai

Directly entering the final stage of preparation. Lining up the last of the badges and pins on the table, looking at this long table in front of me and the hydrangeas beside the fountain, this birthday preparation for Shinonome Ena cosplay has officially come to a close.

I got up at after five this morning to start doing my makeup. To restore that unique sense of physical fragility combined with a stubborn expression, the dark red blending around the eye sockets required a lot of effort to transition. I used a dusty rose color as the base for the eyeshadow, and then applied deep brown to do a small-range blend at the outer corners of the eyes. This creates a look of being sleep-deprived but maintaining a certain mental tension. I also trimmed the bangs of the wig again, securing her signature skull hair ornament on the right side. With the hair strands cascading down along the temples to coordinate with the braid I ran down the side, the finished look has a highly accurate overlap with her official card illustration. For today's greyish-black short-sleeved top with a black pointed collar, white piping, and black heart-shaped buttons on the chest, I spent a long time preparing. The fabric has a slight velvet texture, which gives off a deep, heavy feeling under the light, and the two layers of black borders on the collar corners were stiffened with firmer materials to hold their shape. Many people have asked why I look a bit tired today, but this is actually a characteristic of the character herself—her eyes always hold that slight resignation towards reality, alongside an ultimate demand for certain things, representing her complex charm in Nightcord at 25:00.

Speaking of this Anime-style birthday greeting, I have actually been looking forward to it. I took a lot of photos before, but always felt like something was missing. I planned the layout of this birthday scene very thoroughly. The white 'Happy Birthday' board is a custom minimalist design. However, to arrange those over a hundred pieces of merchandise and cards, I spent over an hour using a ruler to measure the spacing, precise down to the millimeter. On the silver tabletop, the blue undertones of the cards balanced the overall color palette. Since those few white roses were placed in the small vase nearby, I naturally narrowed the surrounding cards slightly to avoid blocking the view. On both sides sat two fuzzy cotton dolls—one dressed in white with a blue collar, and the other in a light yellow jumpsuit. They just sat there quietly accompanying the acrylic standees. Actually, during the coordination process of this Casual cosplay, I considered many times how to prevent the dolls from stealing too much of the spotlight, but later I found that their natural, soft drape was actually a great addition, like a person casually carrying their plushies around in their daily life.

The water mist from the fountain rises into the air, blending with the warm yellow glow of the string lights, as if slowing down time itself in the courtyard. Since I shot this in the afternoon, the sunlight filtered through the leaves and hit the water mist, creating subtle rainbow halos. At that moment, I realized that while the props and merchandise are static, the light and wind of the environment combined these static items into a highly vibrant scene in Project Sekai.

In truth, the hardest part of cosplaying this kind of character is never about exact physical precision, but rather about understanding that obsession of pursuing art while being helpless against reality. During the shoot, I tried my best to express that faint sense of detachment, but since today is her birthday, I softened the angle of my mouth slightly. Many fellow fans asked me how I managed to convey that emotion in my eyes; it was actually because I didn't wear colored circle lenses, relying directly on the eyeshadow blending and changes in gaze to simulate that vacant look. When looking into the distance, slightly dilating the pupils creates a beautifully unfocused, spacing-out sensation.

I hand-arranged all of these merchandise and items myself. While decorating, I displayed her at various stages of her life—official art, fan art—and wrestled with the layout of each card for a long time. Fortunately, the final result was highly satisfying. The large fountain by the pool kept spraying water, and with the occasional breeze blowing water mist onto the cards, I had to carefully protect those paper goods—truly a painful yet happy experience. Though exhausted today, seeing these small items neatly lined up in my favorite spots gives me a tremendous sense of achievement.

This outfit is really thick; although it's short-sleeved, the collar and hem use a lot of material. During the outdoor shoot, even though the environment was beautiful, the three-layered collar combined with the shirt made me sweat slightly. However, the joy of an outdoor shoot lies in the fact that when you truly immerse yourself in the character's world, you forget the gazes of others, focusing all your attention on the camera and your movements. Looking at the purple hydrangeas beside the fountain, I thought of her concentration when painting, which actually resonates with my focus when organizing the cards. This cross-dimensional resonance is quite interesting.

During the breaks, I also received many blessings from fellow fans. Although not physical, I could feel everyone's love for her. All the props and scenes were very well-prepared today—whether it was the dining table in front of me, the plushies in my hands, or the courtyard behind me, they all formed this unique composition. The whole process was like completing a long scroll painting; the moments captured by the lens are actually far less exciting than the full-hearted investment on-site.

This birthday celebration ended very successfully. I took a bunch of interactive photos with these cotton dolls, and also close-up shots of the camera. Now the photos are sitting in the camera, and I'll probably organize more shots from different angles later to exchange makeup tips and clothing modification ideas with everyone in our Casual cosplay discussions. Every time I step into a character, it feels like experiencing another life. This time, the feelings were especially rich, and I hope that in every parallel universe where she exists, this day is treated with absolute care. The birthday setup stood for a long time, and when I was packing up and looking at the empty table, I really felt a bit reluctant to let go.
