Putting on this uniform for Ririchiyo, what catches the eye most is this deep purple long straight hair paired with straight bangs. The bangs almost cover half of the face, beautifully restoring that sense of aloofness and detachment that keeps people at a distance. The black-and-white pinafore dress, along with the exaggerated white lace bow tie, combined with black thigh-high socks and garter straps, perfectly blends British academy style with a subtle Gothic touch.
Today's shoot was actually a spontaneous decision, choosing an outdoor scene in the afternoon. The afternoon sun was quite intense, which is actually not easy to control the lighting ratio in a cosplay outdoor location. To avoid overexposure and harsh pitch-black shadows in the frame, I specially looked for semi-outdoor corridors and stairwell corners. The sunlight passing through the white railings and pillars cast alternating lines of light and dark on the white shirt, which instead enhanced the three-dimensionality of the frame, making it unexpectedly easy to get great shots. During the shooting process, the texture of the wig strands under the strong light performed well without reflecting to the point of looking fake; simply using hair wax to piece out a little texture made it look very natural.
Honestly, walking around and climbing stairs in this outfit isn't exactly easy. The thigh-high socks combined with the snug cut of the pinafore dress require constantly paying attention to the tension of the skirt hem and straps. However, as long as the right standing posture is found, these clothing details actually make the character's form look more casual and sharp. Compared to a completely enclosed studio shoot, I personally prefer shooting in an outdoor space where the wind blows. Snapping that moment when the wig is slightly messy feels much more vivid than posed shots, and I hope to convey Ririchiyo's tsundere yet slightly fragile temperament through the lens.
