For this outdoor photoshoot, we chose a grassy area by the lake to shoot Aglaea's costume, mainly to utilize natural lighting to complement the golden openwork filigree on the outfit and the translucent texture of the dress. The shoot was more complex than expected because the train of the dress was long and the golden accessories were heavy, easily catching on plants while walking on the grass; during post-processing, cleaning up grass clippings snagged on the skirt hem was the most time-consuming task.
The pose in Photo 1, raising a leg and extending a hand, was actually designed to match the low-angle shot, elongating the leg lines while making the White thigh-highs outfit reflect light more evenly under natural lighting. To better control my center of gravity, I tried multiple times because that pose required core strength for support while seated. The wig and hairpieces also had to be pinned very securely with clips to ensure the accessories wouldn't shift out of place, especially when the wind blew.
During the shoot, I adjusted my facial expressions to maintain Aglaea's elegant and aloof demeanor. The expansive open lake and sky offered great scenic depth. To prevent the white dress from blowing out under harsh sunlight, the photographer selected some backlit angles to enhance layering in the frame. Shooting this White thigh-highs outfit paired with high heels on flat grass was somewhat challenging since heels easily sank into the soil, so I consciously kept my toes pointed when posing. The photoshoot was lengthy, and shifting afternoon sunlight brought diverse luster effects to the garment. Overall, recreating this character state from Omphalos was a true test of makeup, styling, and body control.
