This is the second photoshoot set for Journalist Alice, and this time we focused heavily on the concept of the "Dream World." From early planning to on-site set construction, we spent a lot of time simulating that sense of weightlessness suspended between reality and fantasy. This shoot features two distinctly different scenes, but both revolve around a core emotion: uncertainty, and the desire to find the truth in this fairytale-like twisted world.

First is the most visually striking anti-gravity space. The walls with red and black vertical stripes, combined with peeling cracks on the ceiling and a vintage candle chandelier, create a strong sense of confinement and weirdness. To present the dynamic flow of tumbling and falling, the photographer made extensive use of fixed-point suspension and angular composition, arranging the wooden chairs in an anti-gravity formation. In such a scene, I needed to constantly adjust my body's center of gravity to make myself look like I was falling naturally, rather than stiffly posing, which places high demands on core strength and physical expression.

The latter half of the scene returns to the familiar fairytale texture. Giant red and white mushroom props, a textured forest background, and this gorgeous high-backed red throne instantly pull the atmosphere back to the grotesque wonderland of the game's story. Leaning back on the throne or holding a checkered pillow provides a much more relaxed visual sensation compared to the previous anti-gravity scene, giving an illusion of stopping to rest after an adventure.

Specific attention was paid to the details of the character styling for this shoot. The iconic blonde hair was braided into loose plaits paired with a blue headband, fitting the playful intelligence of Journalist Alice's setting. For the costume, a classic blue ruffled洋装 (Western-style dress) was chosen, retaining the layers of the bubble sleeves and waistband, with adjustments made to the skirt's width and drape to present a good dynamic silhouette during movement. Light blue Mary Janes paired with white lacy short socks are not only the finishing touch to the overall color scheme but also nicely flatter the leg lines, making standing and kicking actions look sharper.

For this set of photos, we pursued a SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) texture, so light control was very precise. The first few anti-gravity scenes used cooler hard light to enhance dramatic conflict in the space, making the shadows of the walls and chairs sharper. The throne scenes switched to warmer soft light, making the clashing colors of red and blue appear more saturated but not harsh. SOOC quality means no excessive post-processing filter refinement, which required us to have extremely high control over light, shadow, makeup, and styling texture on set, especially the natural glow of the skin and the details of the clothing fabric, which must withstand direct scrutiny from the lens.

For many fans of this work, the character of Journalist Alice is not just a girl in a fairytale; she possesses a persistence in exploring the truth. No matter how absurd and dangerous the surrounding environment is, she still maintains a sense of composure and curiosity. Through these two different sets of visual expressions in this Dream World photoshoot, I hope to show the multiple facets of this character—both the panic and weightlessness during a fall, and the composure when sitting on the throne observing the world. The entire shooting process was full of the joy of exploration, and I hope this set of photos allows everyone to feel this meticulously constructed dream atmosphere.
