Putting on this Yin Ziping outfit and standing beside the reddish-brown Chinese wooden railing, I felt instantly immersed into the setting of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. The look chosen this time features white as the primary tone, incorporating stiff black piping and light blue detailed embellishments. The abundance of ruffles at the neckline and cuffs gives the entire ensemble the elegance of traditional clothing while carrying the agility of an anime character.
Regarding the makeup and hair, the wig consists of black straight bangs with twin tails. The small white tasseled flower hair accessories on both sides are extremely exquisite; the tassels sway gently when walking, echoing beautifully with the white gloves and over-the-knee socks. The shooting location was selected at a garden exterior with classical features. With blooming flowers behind me and white-walled, gray-tiled eaves half-hidden among green trees, this combination of cool detachment and softness goes unexpectedly well with my white attire. The sunlight during the shoot was very gentle without the harshness of direct glare, and the natural diffused light brought out a wonderful texture in the white clothing, making my complexion look great without needing excessive post-processing.
In terms of poses and composition, I chose a relatively lazy posture, sitting on the wooden railing and leaning against its edge, allowing my body to extend naturally. The folding fan in my hand serves both as a prop and prevents my arm movements from looking stiff. The tailoring of this costume combined with the white thigh-highs outfit beautifully elongates the visual proportions, and the sitting posture perfectly showcases the leg lines, making the entire set feel highly photogenic. Every time I shoot this type of highly detailed cosplay, the greatest test is actually the sense of layering in the clothing. With a slight movement in this outfit, the lace at the neckline, cuffs, and skirt hemline will display different shapes. To prevent excessive creases from affecting the aesthetic appeal, I specifically adjusted the positions of the sleeves and skirt hem before shooting.
Shooting at a garden exterior is quite a test for positioning. Because there are many tourists, finding an angle with few people is not easy. The spot chosen this time happened to have a row of reddish-brown wooden railings, which could block out other passersby, forming a relatively enclosed shooting space. With pink flowers acting as the background, the blurred effect creates a dreamy atmosphere of late spring and early summer. The white folding fan is not only the character's signature item but also a great prop for emotional extension; resting it gently on my lap or coordinating it with this sitting posture infuses the frame with a narrative feel. The texture of these over-the-knee socks is exceptionally smooth, beautifully presenting the skin tone and the sheerness of the stockings under soft light. Paired with the short skirt and ruffles, it fits anime aesthetics perfectly without appearing overly revealing.
This set of photos carries distinct personal characteristics, preserving respect for the character setting while integrating a bit of my own aesthetic preference. In post-processing, I mainly focused on the contrast of light and dark relationships. Since white clothing easily overexposes under harsh outdoor light, I deliberately chose scattered light under the shade of trees during the shoot. In post-processing, I slightly darkened the highlights and brightened the shadows to make the clothing creases and lace layers more three-dimensional. When holding props, the tiny lace details on the white gloves were handled well, and the action of holding the folding fan guaranteed elegance without looking monotonous. This set of photos largely showcases a static beauty that requires no dynamic snapshots; simply sitting in place and adjusting the relaxation of the shoulders and neck is enough to catch a natural demeanor. I was quite lucky this time with fair weather; the wig and tassels remained highly stable, making the scene look serene and gentle. This experience truly elevates the essence of Cosplay photography.
