Under the theme of Goddess of Victory: Nikke, I prepared two complete looks for Alice Cosplay: her default Racing suit and a Bunny girl ensemble. Unwilling to leave either behind, I decided to shoot both! To maximize fidelity to the 2D character, significant effort went into makeup and styling. The wig featured a silver-white style with blunt bangs; because the bright fiber easily tangles, I used a wide-tooth comb to keep the length smooth, locking the twin tails and bangs in place with styling spray. For eye makeup, pink-purple colored contact lenses were paired with dense false eyelashes and defined eyeliner, using subtle contouring to sculpt a softer, more youthful facial shape.
The pink jacket of the default Racing suit is made of a structured, rigid material, detailed with black-and-white checkered patterns, silver-reflecting zippers, and "SUPERB" lettering. Wearing such a structured style naturally limits range of motion, requiring deliberate control over arm angles when posing with peace signs, while paying close attention to glove coordination. In contrast, the Bunny girl outfit was far lighter, featuring a pink bandeau top paired with a white detachable collar and pink bow tie. The white pom-poms on the bunny ears had wonderful texture, though they required careful alignment to avoid tilting. During shooting, I posed resting a finger under my chin, which proved ideal for highlighting makeup nuances. The little rabbit emblem at the chest not only enriched the composition but also amplified her playful charm.
The shooting location was a room filled with blue-purple and magenta neon light tubes, perfectly aligning with a cyberpunk aesthetic. This lighting setup was challenging to control due to reflections; to prevent facial blowout, the camera angle slightly bypassed direct light paths, allowing the colored contact lenses to catch gorgeous neon reflections. The two costumes conveyed entirely distinct moods within the same environment: the Racing suit projected sporty dynamism with bold, open postures, while the Bunny girl look leaned into sweet, coquettish charm, requiring a slightly tucked chin paired with focused eye contact. Because the two looks exuded contrasting vibes, I made tailored adjustments during post-processing—enhancing cool-and-warm lighting contrasts for the Racing suit while accentuating soft pink tones for the Bunny girl look. The shoot was physically demanding due to continuous micro-adjustments to the bodice, bow tie, and glove fit. However, experiencing two completely different character styles in one shoot brought immense fulfillment in this Goddess of Victory: Nikke Alice Cosplay project.
