This birthday photoshoot was set amidst a vast sea of purple flowers in the spring. We chose the late afternoon near sunset, as the gentle backlight highlighted the soft texture of the pink and white dress. Preparing this outfit took quite a bit of thought—the white puff sleeves and lace petticoat appeared wonderfully fluffy, while the golden star pendant at the neckline mirrored the pink star wand in hand. The wig was styled into brown twintails with pink ribbon hair accessories, paired with green contact lenses and rounded eye makeup to capture the lively spirit of a magical girl. Additionally, to preserve character accuracy, I wore pink stockings; although the outdoor air was chilly, it completed the character's aesthetic. The shoot was quite physically demanding, especially for the jumping photo: the photographer guided me to hold the wand in a spellcasting pose and jump over a dozen times, using high shutter speeds to capture the fluttering layers of the skirt against the backlight. For the close-ups, the photographer utilized blurred floral foregrounds to capture me leaning forward and reaching out. I shifted through various poses across the floral field—sometimes looking down at the blossoms, sometimes pointing the wand at the lens. It was quite windy, making hair maintenance tricky, but the makeup artist adjusted it promptly throughout. Post-processing was kept natural, mainly balancing the tones and softening shadow details to enhance the sunlit warmth. Looking at the final photos, all the repeated attempts were worthwhile, leaving a satisfying birthday tribute for this character.
