[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd: The Pink Elf in the Twilight

The focus of this makeup and styling was recreating the exotic, ethereal allure brought by the pink hair and elf ears, selecting breathable light-colored contact lenses to match the overall ambiance. The costume fabric is primarily sheer organza, which casts a dreamy luminous halo under twilight backlighting. The purple rose accessory at the waist is exquisite, perfectly echoing the overall pink-and-purple palette. The semi-sheer tulle short sleeves and the delicate bead chain across the chest required repeated adjustments for a proper fit. Because the Thigh-highs cosplay stockings are made of lightweight fabric, walking outdoors required extra care, and the positioning of the thigh ring and straps had to be carefully adjusted to accentuate the aesthetic lines of the legs. Paired with white Mary Jane shoes, it balanced the costume's grandeur with sweet girlish charm.

For the shoot, we chose a rooftop in the evening, mainly to take advantage of the warm dusk light reflecting off the skirt hem—a natural lighting effect that is hard to replicate in an indoor studio. To showcase the dynamic movement of the skirt, I tried the skirt-lifting pose many times, carefully modulating the force so that the layers of sheer ruffles had dimension without obscuring my face. The angle of the Elf ears cosplay and headpiece was also fine-tuned several times, as it directly affected the silhouette of my side profile.

As Elysia in Honkai Impact 3rd, the character design carries an elf-like dreamy aura. Therefore, in the makeup, soft pink-purple tones were used for eyeshadow and blush to emphasize the depth of the eyes. Every time I do a Pink-themed cosplay, I love studying the garment details; this dress design has wonderful lightness when walking, though on windy days one must constantly keep the skirt hem secure. Professional cosplay photography often demands meticulous control over details—such as ensuring shoulder straps don't slip, skirts don't lose volume, and wig bangs don't block the eyes. To match the character's style, this shoot demanded not only visual refinement but also graceful movements, capturing this set of photos with the intended atmosphere across numerous shutter clicks. Maintaining high focus throughout was intense, but seeing the light filter through the sheer tulle dress made all these adjustments completely worthwhile.
