[Elysia Cosplay] An Immersive Shoot Record of a Pink Elf Fan-made design cosplay in Honkai Impact 3rd

From finalizing the makeup to wrapping up the shoot, this Fan-made design cosplay styling for Elysia took nearly five hours. The wig has a pink-to-white gradient, and the tips had to be curled into a fluffy, slightly flipped texture—styling the wig alone took a great deal of time. The silicone elf ears for this Elf ears cosplay needed repeated gluing at the sideburns, but thankfully the final look was very natural and blended seamlessly with my face shape. In terms of makeup, I chose a porcelain-fair foundation; to accentuate that ethereal, fairy-like vibe, I applied generous pink blush and glitter under the eyes, paired with large-diameter violet contact lenses and dense false eyelashes, making the overall look doll-like. The outfit is a heavily embellished sheer pink tulle dress with an off-the-shoulder cut, accentuated by ruffles, golden bow accessories, tassels, and pink ribbons. The lace on the skirt is quite delicate, so I moved very carefully during the shoot to avoid tearing it. Since this Fan-made design cosplay styling doesn't follow rigid official canon guidelines, I paired it with a floral-embroidered round fan to echo the Pink-themed cosplay palette. Holding the fan for close-ups or half-body shots instantly brought out elegance. When choosing a photo studio, we deliberately picked warm indoor lighting with softboxes to highlight skin translucency. During the shoot, the photographer guided me to tilt my face slightly, holding the fan up before my chest or gently resting a hand against my cheek. Because of the fan's elaborate pattern, compositions either used it to partially veil the face in close-ups or showed the full face in half-body portraits with the fan as foreground. During post-processing, we mainly adjusted the overall color grading to remove yellowish casts, making the pink-purple tones more cohesive, alongside skin smoothing, face contouring, and brightening catchlights to make the eyes sparkle. A few sparkling, starlike glowing effects were also added to enhance the dreamy 2D aesthetic. I'm very satisfied with the finalized selection: the first photo is framed slightly off-center with a tighter facial close-up; the second is centered with a more balanced composition, complete fan-and-hand gestures, and an off-the-shoulder cut that gracefully flatters feminine curves and elegance—which is why I chose the second photo as the cover. The shooting experience for this styling was wonderful with a high yield of great shots, serving as an ideal reference for anyone wanting to capture an ethereal fairy style or pink-purple mature/elven character aesthetic.
