For this appearance at the CICF Expo, I brought Aemeath from Wuthering Waves straight to the convention grounds. Substantial effort went into styling and tailoring for this offline event, and I'm excited to share the behind-the-scenes details of this photoshoot.

First, regarding hair and cosmetics: to faithfully recreate the character's long pink hair, I trimmed the wig in layers and styled it beforehand to keep it from turning messy in outdoor convention breezes. The circular halo headpiece crowned with star accents, along with the tiny blue and pink horns on either side of my forehead, were double-secured using invisible bobby pins and strong-hold hairspray. The eye makeup used a soft pink-brown palette base accented with fine glitter along the inner and outer corners, paired with red contact lenses to ensure my gaze remained luminous and expressive before the camera. The base foundation was strictly waterproof and sweat-resistant—after all, holding up through an entire day on the convention floor makes longevity crucial.

Next, the intricate nuances of the garment: this white-to-pink gradient ensemble incorporated contrasting fabric textures. The bodice features a form-fitting white corset framed by crisp black trim and metallic gold accents, centered with a purple bow and a star embellishment. My favorite element is the skirt's architecture: a miniskirt in the front that cascades into an exceptionally long, multi-layered semi-sheer chiffon train at the back, shifting organically from pink into pale blue with sparkling textured edges that catch lovely refractions under lighting. The long white arm gloves feature fine golden piping along the cuffs, while the asymmetric thigh straps on my legs are bordered in gold and blue, tying the full color palette into complete harmony.

We timed this photoshoot for dusk, when ambient natural lighting softened beautifully. A dark glass curtain wall in the background cleanly subdued distracting elements, allowing the subject to pop. Because the train was so expansive, standing upright risked looking bulky, so I chose to perch atop a silver suitcase. Seated stances heavily test posture—relaxing too much invites slouching—so I constantly engaged my core, keeping my spine erect and crossing my legs into an extended diagonal. This visually elongated leg proportions while cleanly displaying the golden star emblems along the heeled boots. The suitcase prop also naturally infused a sense of wanderlust into the narrative.

Navigating the CICF floor with such a sweeping train essentially meant sweeping the ground with every step, leaving me terrified that someone might accidentally step on it. Fortunately, so many lovely fellow fans recognized Aemeath instantly and came over for commemorative photos. Interacting with everyone and earning their recognition amidst such a vibrant convention brought an irreplaceable sense of accomplishment. Slipping off the tall heeled boots at wrap-up was pure physical relief, but seeing all the lovingly prepared styling and details captured flawlessly made every ounce of effort entirely worthwhile.
