Foshan CPG 08 Convention photo sorting is complete! This shoot features The Shorekeeper cosplay in her Resonant Moments look from Wuthering Waves.
While this outfit is gorgeous, wearing it came with challenges: the skirt hem is long and voluminous, requiring extra care when moving through convention crowds to avoid being stepped on. The off-shoulder design beautifully accentuates the shoulder and neckline, while the pearl chain and open-back design at the rear are exquisite. The high-slit skirt paired with black red-bottom high heels was great for showing off leg contours on-site. The blue butterfly prop served as the visual focal point of this set; its reflective surface had fantastic texture under strong outdoor sunlight.
This shoot took place mainly beside outdoor architecture under intense sunlight. Although backlighting easily leads to overexposure, it created a wonderfully translucent halo across the silver wig and white tulle skirt. To prevent the face from being too dark, the photographer adjusted reflector positions throughout the shoot, and post-processing specifically softened the highlights.
To complement this look, I experimented with different stances and poses. The seated pose in the first photo was ideal for showing the skirt's spread and leg lines; pointing the instep was necessary to make the high heel angles look best. The second photo's over-the-shoulder glance was designed to showcase the backless detail and interaction with the butterfly. Lifting one leg in the third photo added an airy fluidity to the movement, though balancing in high heels tested core strength and required substantial stability. The fourth close-up featured the butterfly partially obscuring my face, testing the focus and intensity of my gaze.
Convention venues are cluttered with messy lighting and backgrounds, so special thanks to the photographer for finding clean angles amidst the crowd, using architectural glass windows and porticos as clean backdrops, paired with wide-aperture bokeh to highlight the subject. The outfit's pearl choker and slender bracelets easily caught reflective glints in the sunlight, enhancing the overall elegance.
Overall, the photoshoot experience was wonderful, faithfully capturing the character's serene demeanor on-site. The blue butterfly gave the whole frame a distinct visual anchor. Aside from the skirt picking up a bit of dust in the crowded convention, the overall execution was very high.
