The convention hall photos of Cartethyia are finally here! The sunlight at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi was truly magnificent, offering a natural holy-light filter that played across the white sheer fabric and black leather-textured materials, bringing out the layered depth of the costume completely. This outfit features countless intricate details—the complex metallic chest pendants and the black-and-white patchwork bodysuit demanded an exceptionally precise fit. To ensure no wardrobe malfunctions during dynamic poses, the undergarment prep had to be meticulous without disrupting the overall silhouette, and blending the nude Stockings seamlessly with the bodysuit took quite some time.

The blue-and-white gradient translucent cape at the back is one of the biggest highlights of this look. When shooting on the outdoor lawn, we had to constantly mind the wind speed and the direction the cape flowed. At times, we used clear fishing line to subtly guide it or posed against the wind's resistance to capture that natural, fluttering elven lightness. The blue-and-white branch-like headpiece and prosthetic elf ears are the soul of the ensemble; I secured them to the wig's inner netting with numerous bobby pins to ensure they wouldn't budge even while running or executing wide sword swings.

Speaking of poses, this set contains many dynamic stances, such as standing on one leg, half-crouching, and raising the sword with both hands. Because the prop sword carries noticeable weight, holding it high single-handedly meant engaging my core to stabilize my entire center of gravity; my arm muscles had to remain taut while my face maintained an effortless, even gentle expression. This contrast between strength and gentleness perfectly aligns with her dual persona as both a gentle saint and the strongest knight. To convey the knight's cool resolve, my gaze grew sharper with my jawline slightly tightened; when shifting to the saint mode, my eyes softened and my shoulders eased down.

Wig styling was another challenge during outdoor photography. The straight blunt bangs and side braids easily got swept up by the wind, requiring constant touch-ups with hairspray. In the final few shots by the railings and slopes, dodging direct harsh sunlight and utilizing ambient shadows and diffuse reflections actually lent the photos a more three-dimensional, cool-toned texture, with low-angle framing elongating the leg lines. The white thorn-like armbands and thigh rings rubbed against the skin and left marks after holding poses for extended periods, but in front of the lens, these accessories added an immense sense of ethereal fragility and fantasy. The white lace-up heeled sandals required gripping the grass and slopes with my toes to maintain balance—especially for single-leg balances where the instep was strained to its limit—but as long as the photos turned out stunning, it was all worthwhile.

With upcoming shoots moving to the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, the lighting options should be even more versatile, plus the air conditioning means no more frantic makeup touch-ups under the scorching sun. Next time there, I can explore more seaside backdrops and architectural compositions, hopefully capturing even more distinct expressions and postures.
