[March 7th cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Convention photos Sharing - Image 1

During this convention, I shot March 7th cosplay in this blue-themed dress, so I'm sharing the on-site shooting details and my impressions. Having cosplayed all her skin outfits previously, this blue-and-white gradient dress still offered me a uniquely refreshing experience. The fabric texture is very distinctive: the white section of the bodice carries a subtle pearlescent shimmer, casting faint color shifts under convention lighting. There are abundant details like the snowflake pattern on the chest and the pink bow at the waist, along with translucent sheer sleeves—it's the kind of outfit that looks ethereal from afar yet structurally intricate up close. The shoulder strap design and back cutouts also took time to fit properly, as the slightest carelessness could make them dig in uncomfortably. During the shoot, the photographer was very thoughtful with the set, using blue velvet fabric and sheer curtains to create a wonderful color resonance with the deep blue of the skirt hem. My favorite shot in this series is holding the white bouquet out toward the camera; paired with White stockings and a seated pose, it flattered the lines of my legs wonderfully. Because the sleeves are translucent, extra care was needed with angles when posing, otherwise hand movements could appear stiff. Convention hall lighting is usually chaotic and tends to wash out colors, but the lighting for these Convention photos was handled cleanly, rendering the dress's gradient from white to purple to blue with great clarity. What I feared most during the shoot was reflective materials causing glare and awkward reflections, but the photographer reminded me to tuck my chin and look to the side, capturing this moment with spot-on gaze expression. March 7th's personality always felt remarkably lively to me, but donning this comparatively elegant dress quieted my mood during the shoot into a calm serenity. Although crowds bustling back and forth made it noisy, cooperating with the photographer's direction allowed me to quickly immerse into the character. Meeting many fellow fans at the convention to discuss wig maintenance and prop restoration was also very helpful for the shoot. The texture of the White stockings remained crisp under the lights; to prevent snags, I moved extra carefully on the mat, and the photographer successfully captured those poised lines and postures. Having worn this dress several times, each time under different lighting yields subtle variations in results—which is truly part of the joy of cosplay. Overall, it was a remarkably smooth photoshoot experience: from dressing and adjusting wig bangs to posing, the entire process was compact and orderly, and I'm personally very pleased with the final results. Huge thanks to the photographer for helping document this adorable moment!
