[Ahri cosplay] League of Legends Ahri CJ26 vs CJ25: Nine-Tailed Fox at the TCL Booth

For this year's ChinaJoy at the TCL booth, I prepared two distinct looks for League of Legends Ahri. The short black hair version paired with a red-and-blue color-blocked tube dress leaned into the character's agile and playful side, while the long blonde wig matched with a purple sequined jacket and skirt infused a modern stage presence. Both outfits preserved Ahri's iconic red whisker marks and eye makeup, while undergoing comprehensive upgrades in wig materials and accessory details.

Starting with the wigs: the black-haired version featured red-to-black gradient streaks, with the inner layers point-cut with precision and sculpted with heavy-hold spray to keep the beast ears firmly erect. The blonde version utilized high-grade heat-resistant synthetic fiber with exceptional silkiness, complemented by fluffy white ears that felt visually lighter. Both wigs were adorned with miniature ribbon bows and gilded accents to echo the bell motifs on Ahri's ears.

The wardrobe craftsmanship is well worth highlighting. The tube dress of the black hair version was crafted primarily from satin; vivid red fabric on the bodice was edged with gold piping, while the colossal fan-shaped train behind showcased gradient airbrushed hues transitioning from warm orange to teal-cyan, shimmering with fine golden dust that unfurled into a dramatic sweep when walking. The blonde version's violet jacket and skirt featured reflective sequined fabrics that kicked back dazzling highlights under stage lighting. The jacket boasted structured golden shoulder pads and an amber-yellow heart emblem over the chest. On the lower half, sheer-panel Black stockings paired with stiletto heels visually elongated body proportions.

For props, the oversized golden bell and red knotted cords at the waist served as shared aesthetic anchors across both designs. The tails were constructed with high-density plush faux fur; the pink-and-white color palette maintained high canonical accuracy and held bouncy, voluminous curves effortlessly on camera. To suit the esports atmosphere of the booth, my base makeup prioritized long-wearing oil control and setting to withstand hours under hot stage lights. The ocular styling paired blue and yellow contacts to match each visual concept, anchored by a matte crimson lip to heighten stage presence.

Compared to last year's 2025 Ahri styling, this year's garments were tailored much closer to natural body curves. Pure satin can exhibit uneven specular shine under direct lights, so internal anti-slip silicone banding and refined darting along the waist and abdomen were incorporated. For the hosiery, swapping plain opaque black tights for Black stockings with subtle sheen and light compression ensured the short skirt styling never felt visually flat.

During floor interactions, many fans took notice of the tails and ears. I engaged with the crowd through finger-heart poses or gentle three-quarter turns to showcase the fan of the train. These gestures captured the character's enchanting coquettish charm while allowing photographers to document the multi-tiered color gradients. The blonde version channeled breezy, sparkling sweetness, while the black hair version emphasized alluring mystique and agile grace. Alternating between both ensembles throughout the show brought distinct physical demands regarding heat and mobility, but sharing the multifaceted allure of League of Legends Ahri at this grand gaming festival was an immensely rewarding experience.
