[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Heart of Surging Flame Summer Convention Photo Share

I've finally sorted through the convention photos for this Heart of Surging Flame Amiya look. Embracing the summer theme, the coordinate paired a pink-and-white gingham off-the-shoulder top with light blue denim shorts, which was both breathable and effortless to walk around in across the convention hall. The elastic neckline and puffed lantern sleeves demanded vigilance against wardrobe slips whenever bending over or posing, making thorough pre-shoot prep essential. To honor the character's traits, I customized the straw hat by attaching oversized beast ears and feather accents; to amplify the visual punch, I wired transparent streamers lined with LED light strips along both sides of the hat, turning quite a few heads on the show floor.

Our shooting spot was right in the convention lounge area, where the floor featured a black-and-white geometric carpet that added rich graphic depth and formed a striking visual contrast with the bright summer coordinate. The trickiest part of convention photography is always the ambient lighting—overhead venue fixtures and floor glare severely test camera exposure settings. Thankfully, my photographer partner brought along fill lights that crisply illuminated individual hair strands and fabric textures. To keep the compositions lively, I experimented with varied poses.

For instance, when kneeling on the carpet, leaning my center of gravity slightly back with an upright spine maximally accentuated my waistline and leg proportions. Alternating between direct eye-level framing and subtle high-angle shots made facial contours appear sharper and more dimensional. For the shots seated on a folding stool, crossing my legs visually elongated the lines of my legs. Wearing green cosmetic lenses meant expressive eye contact was crucial, striving to convey Amiya's signature blend of steadfast resolve and playful warmth. Small blue accessories, such as the thigh garter and glowing wristband, caught highlights beneath the studio lights to layer in visual depth.

With crowds constantly moving across the convention floor, achieving a clean composition with a blurred background required leaning into wide apertures and slight low-angle upward tilts to clear out passersby. While the outfit felt genuinely breezy to wear, keeping the LED strips on the hat continuously illuminated meant carefully monitoring hidden wires and battery switches between takes to prevent slips or dropping props. In communicating with the photographer, I favored natural lighting and relaxed posture to evoke approachable warmth—channeling the sun-drenched holiday vibe intended by Heart of Surging Flame rather than a rigid combat stance.

Convention photography is all about capturing that busy, fulfilling momentum in the moment. Exhausting though it was, seeing how the light played across the gingham texture and how the green eyes popped against the dimmer venue surroundings made every drop of sweat completely worth it. Every location session or convention shoot is a chance to deepen my understanding of the character as well as hone on-the-spot adaptability. This color scheme stands out effortlessly during summer conventions, and with balanced lighting control, it yields a delightfully crisp, refreshing aesthetic.
