Preparations for this Suzuran look began the moment I received the outfit. For the outdoor photography location, we chose a garden with blooming giant alliums set against distant mountain foothills. To embody the character's innocent essence, I refined the eye makeup details and used light-green colored contacts to brighten my gaze, while the wig fibers were trimmed to complement the placement of the beast ears. The textures of the lace trims and red neck ribbon received special attention, and the subtle jacquard weave of the dress looked breathtaking under rim lighting.
The sun was intense on the day of the shoot, with rays filtering through leaves to cast gorgeous dappled light. We capitalized on low-angle and side-backlit compositions to accentuate the soft, luminous texture of the blonde hair and fluffy tail. Walking along mountain paths and wooden bridges in this combination of white tights cosplay and block-heeled leather shoes tested my balance. To capture a relaxed, effortless posture, the sequence seated on the wooden bridge took considerable time; pointing my dangling toes elongated the leg line while maintaining the character's poised grace. The floral wreath on the staff prop was meticulously crafted, and my favorite shot is the close-up where I close my eyes and flash a peace sign with a natural, gentle expression.
Compared to studio shoots, this authentic location blended seamlessly with the character's 2D lore. The fluffy tail stood out vividly against the sea of blossoms, enriching the overall framing. Working in sync with the crew allowed us to capture lively candid moments rather than stiff poses. Post-processing avoided harsh color shifts, preserving a bright, vibrant green palette to convey Suzuran's tranquil, healing, yet sprightly spirit. We wrapped up by reviewing all poses and fabric folds to ensure harsh highlights didn't distract from the aesthetic, successfully capturing the gentle sensation of a wilderness breeze.
