[Amiya cosplay] Arknights: Violin rabbit-eared girl amidst a blue and white sea of flowers

This Arknights Amiya photoshoot project took over a month of preparation, from custom tailoring the costume to arranging the set. To match the overall visual ambiance, we deliberately booked a studio decorated with blue and white floral arrangements, keeping the overarching palette cool-toned.

First, let's talk about how the costume looks on. The texture of this black-and-blue stage outfit exceeded my expectations: the black foundation fabric is crisp and structured, while the blue prints and gold patterns on the dress body are rendered in high clarity. The tiered tulle of the skirt flared without looking bulky, and the white lace trim perfectly neutralized the heaviness of the black. The black outer cape has a wonderful drape; its lining is a white fabric woven with fine golden shimmer, so when walking or posing, the subtle patterns shift with the lighting angle, making the details exceptionally captivating.

The rabbit-ear props on my head were the visual focal point of the styling. To keep the two large ears three-dimensional in shape, a rigid internal armature was added; after putting them on, I had to find the exact balance point, or my neck would ache after shooting for a while. For the wig, I selected silky brown long straight hair, trimmed blunt bangs, and paired it with blue contact lenses. The overall makeup leaned as clean and translucent as possible, emphasizing deep, defined eye makeup.

The violin prop used during the shoot featured a blue-and-black color scheme with custom paintwork, and the curve of the bow was subtly adjusted, carrying a comfortable, moderate weight in hand. To realistically capture the feel of playing the violin, I practiced hand postures in front of the mirror at home for days; otherwise, it easily looks stiff. Holding the violin relies primarily on the shoulder and chin to anchor the instrument, while the fingering posture of the left hand must look as natural as possible. The contact angle between the bow and the strings required gradual micro-adjustments, and the photographer helped me explore various angles before finally capturing several satisfying close-ups of playing.

The studio set included a white swing set, Roman columns, angel statues, and an abundance of pale blue and white blossoms. Under the cool-toned studio lights, the dark Stockings and black patent leather heels formed a striking visual contrast against the plush white rug. To present better frame proportions, whether lying down or sitting angled, I consciously pointed my toes to elongate the leg lines while carefully arranging the spread of the skirt hem, preventing wardrobe slips while adding dimension to the frame. The metallic ankle straps of the high heels and the subtle blue accents on the Stockings also translated gorgeously on camera.

The shoot was physically demanding, especially when lying on the plush rug, where core strength was needed to prop my upper body slightly while keeping my gaze sharp. The entire team worked in seamless harmony; the lighting technician constantly adjusted lighting ratios between the candelabras and background chiffon drapery just to produce that soft, luminous glow in the backdrop. Completing this photo set smoothly would not have been possible without everyone's joint dedication. The final images handled light, shadow, and color exceptionally well, making this a deeply gratifying photoshoot experience.
