[Angelina Cosplay] A Refreshing Birthday Blessing in the Island Summer

Although I missed Angelina's actual birthday, I had to quickly release this island swimsuit Summer Film at the tail end of summer to make up for the birthday blessings. I put a lot of thought into the accuracy of this look. To make the beast ears and tail look more vivid under the intense natural light, I specifically chose materials with realistic hair textures. This was paired with the reddish-brown curly twin tails, which were finely trimmed according to the curve of my cheeks. Every detail—from the black collar and metal chain accessories around my neck to the blue wave tattoo sticker on my outer thigh—was carefully crafted to align with her casual yet tactical vibe from the original work. The red one-piece swimsuit is the highlight of the styling, with a slim fit that beautifully accentuates the body curves during the outdoor shoot. The semi-transparent white tulle cover-up layered on top not only served a practical sun-protection purpose but also instantly brought out a light, fluttering sense of movement when the ocean breeze blew.

The temperature was extremely high on the day of the shoot, and the UV rays by the beach were almost dizzying, but the blue-green sea water in this area was incredibly clear and transparent. To capture this crisp clarity, the photographer positioned the camera very low, alternating between wide-angle and telephoto lenses to fit the blue sky, reefs, and distant islands all into the frame. We ran back and forth in the shallows for several action shots. For example, in the photo where I am lying on a blue-and-white beach chair holding a pink shaved ice, that moment was actually just to dodge the sun, yet it accidentally captured a highly lifelike and cozy expression. With my long tail spread across the chair, the entire atmosphere turned out exceptionally relaxed.

In the shots where my arms are spread open and the wind blows the white tulle up, although the wind was natural, I had to jump on one leg in the water many times to get that ideal flowing arc. The energetic smile on my face was actually mostly a natural expression because I genuinely found the process of repeatedly jumping around so much fun.

For the color grading in post-production, I intentionally preserved the cyan-blue of the sea without overly darkening the tones. The color blocking of red, white, and blue was always the visual foundation of this Summer Film. As the cosplayer, I understand that Angelina is not a cold, aloof character who puts on airs. Instead, she is like a little sun who brings a cheerful atmosphere to everyone around her. Therefore, for my expression management during the shoot, I didn't try to look like a mature older-sister figure. Instead, I used a lot of playful winks and open-mouthed smiles, with a slightly mischievous wink, hoping to sincerely convey the character's brightness to those viewing the photos.

Shooting this island set was actually very exhausting, especially repeatedly adjusting my poses under the scorching sun, but seeing the final photos makes all the sweat worth it. I hope everyone can feel a bit of the character's agility and cheerfulness through these images. Alright, this late birthday make-up assignment has been successfully submitted, and now it's time for me to take a good rest.
