[Lin Yuxia cosplay] Arknights: Lungmen F4's Casual Daily Life at a Hong Kong-Style Cha Chaan Teng

Shooting this casual everyday cosplay series of the Lungmen F4 from Arknights at a Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng with the DJI Pocket 4P went exceptionally fast—since the four of us are close friends, the vibe clicked immediately. I’ve always felt that cosplay shouldn't be confined solely to studio-bound angles and flashy sets. Bringing the distinct charms of Lin Yuxia cosplay, Hoshiguma cosplay, Ch'en cosplay, and Swire cosplay into genuine daily life—imagining what it looks like when they gather for a meal after work—carries an authentic down-to-earth warmth that feels far more engaging than stiff, deliberate posing.

Speaking of gear, the entire shoot was captured on the DJI Pocket 4P. Its compact size meant resting it on the table or holding it in hand never made things feel like formal work, keeping everyone relaxed and allowing natural smiles and candid gestures to be captured effortlessly. Furthermore, the perspective of its wide-angle lens is fantastic; tilting it slightly makes faces look refined and legs look elongated, matching the visual aesthetic I wanted. The restaurant's wood-grain floors, white tabletops, and cool-toned backlit signage provided rich ambient texture; shooting in the dining area without harsh studio lights relied on ambient and diffuse reflection, giving skin a translucent glow.

I cosplayed Lin Yuxia this time, pairing long purple hair with a glossy black leather jacket and a white baseball cap, creating a delightfully striking contrast under the restaurant's warm amber lighting. Lounging on the booth sofa, pulling the cap brim down slightly, or holding a drink proved to be the most natural poses on camera. My friend doing Hoshiguma cosplay on the sofa had the strongest presence with a midriff-baring pose—the leather texture and choker details were sharply defined under the dim purple ambient backlight, and her relaxed posture was incredibly cool.

As for Swire cosplay and Ch'en cosplay, the combination of blonde and teal-pink hair—one in an orange sweater and the other in a black top—interacting across the table with their fluffy animal ears facing the camera looked just like best friends enjoying afternoon tea. We ordered classic Hong Kong-style snacks together, joking that this was authentic Lungmen cuisine. For poses, we avoided rigid framing, opting instead for natural interactions like draping arms around shoulders, leaning in towards the lens, and clinking drinks—capturing those split-second candid moments brought true soul to the images.

This everyday casual cosplay exploration provided immense inspiration and gave me a richer, multi-dimensional understanding of these characters. The portability of the compact camera allowed us to improvise freely within a cozy space, capturing genuine interactions. Without heavy edits, preserving the vibrant street-life atmosphere of the cha chaan teng and the genuine joy shared between the four of us made this fourth-wall-breaking slice-of-life record thoroughly rewarding.
