[Amiya cosplay] Arknights maid bunny: Anime Star City convention photo diary

Shot a series of Amiya in her Maid outfit today at Anime Star City, and I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out. This ensemble is packed with intricate details—the blue-and-white plaid fabric holds such rich texture under the light, while the white lace apron and tiny red cuff buttons are remarkably delicate. The wig is a soft light brown with pale blue gradient highlights at the tips, which looked fantastic on camera paired with the fuzzy plush Bunny ears and blue pom-pom bow.

To capture the essence of a maid bunny, the makeup artist emphasized soft rosy blush and bright blue contact lenses, leaning into a sweet, adorable look that mirrors her lively spirit in Arknights. The photographer, NightDiva, had an incredible eye for angles—we used a wooden partition cut with star stencils as a backdrop, letting natural daylight spill through to cast gorgeous dappled light spots. Framed against the distinct architecture of Anime Star City, the overall ambiance felt completely elevated.

We choreographed quite a few poses for this shoot, such as an action snapshot tossing a canvas tote into the air, and a tranquil seated frame holding the bag atop a white rolling suitcase. During the dynamic shots, I leaped several times to make the flared skirt billow; the photographer's shutter was lightning fast, capturing effortless folds in the dress and the suspended bag in mid-air. The seated shot specifically highlighted the full circumference of the skirt and clean leg lines, finished with white ruffled ankle socks and classic black leather shoes—I'm thoroughly satisfied with the overall styling polish.

The shoot was physically taxing with multiple wardrobe layers, the styled wig, and the Bunny ears in fairly warm temperatures, but seeing the final proofs made every ounce of sweat worthwhile. The venue's natural chiaroscuro was stunning on its own, needing minimal supplementary fill and preserving authentic light and shadow textures. Weaving together blue plaid, lace frills, and bunny ears captured both a maid's demure charm and Amiya's spirited agility. I can't wait to explore even more styling variations in the future.
