[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Rhodes Island Combat Routine

Bringing this finished Arknights Amiya cosplay to life took roughly over half a month from initial preparation to final deliverables. Because Amiya's Rhodes Island uniform is exceptionally intricate in its details, my pre-production required meticulously verifying the positioning of jacket graphics, arm patches, and sculpting the dimensional tiers of the collar ruffles.

The elongated black overcoat features light blue spliced sleeves emblazoned down the sides with crisp white 'RHODES ISLAND' lettering, complemented by metallic buckles and graphic webbing along the hemline. The layered white inner blouse features blue-grey ruffled tiers and a jewel-encrusted neck ornament, establishing striking dimensional relief. For the wig, I selected a brunette base with a soft blue-grey gradient, spending hours trimming and thinning the fibers so they looked airy yet neat. Vivid blue contact lenses served as the cornerstone for focusing my gaze with resolute intensity. The oversized Bunny ears props atop the head carried significant volume, demanding constant vigilance over balance to prevent them from tilting or feeling top-heavy during movement. The lower half was coordinated with a dark navy plaid pleated skirt, sheer Black stockings, and patent-leather black loafers, finished with vibrant sky-blue ribbons around the choker, wrists, and ankles for chromatic cohesion.

Shooting at night amid complex ambient illumination led us to deploy an alternating warm and cool lighting setup to sculpt the figure. Because the black trench coat readily swallows light, feathering a crisp, cool-blue rim light along its contours was essential to peel the character's silhouette cleanly off the dark background. The first frame captures a seated posture, balancing leg elongation with taut hand tension. Wearing Black stockings makes leg lines paramount—requiring engaged muscle tone aligned with the torso's tilt. Bending one knee slightly while extending the other leg naturally, with my hand opened forward, channeled Amiya's poised, unflinching battlefield command presence.

The second image shifts to a standing pose with arms gently outspread, weight split between front and back feet, letting the unbuttoned duster coat billow freely in the wind. Releasing the natural drape of multiple heavy garments requires deliberate, dynamic movements. When shooting heavily layered attire, the core challenge is avoiding bulky silhouettes in frame by discovering the body's natural pivot angles. To reflect the resolve of fighting until the very end, this look inherently embodies crisp determination and grit. As the leader of Rhodes Island, Amiya shoulders immense burdens; in both expression and gaze, I strove to project an unwavering resolve that remains true to its origins despite endless trials.

I am genuinely thrilled with the final results. The interplay between lighting and framing married the cool palette of the uniform with the nighttime cityscape flawlessly. The sheen of the Black stockings rendered gorgeously under street strobes, striking a sharp tactile contrast against the glossy patent loafers. Managing such intricate multi-layered costumes heavily tests action snapshots—every turn and arm raise required keeping the fabric taut and clean in frame. Handling these nuances felt far more natural than before, and I deeply enjoyed immersing myself completely into the character's core.
