These are costume fitting photos of Mudrock from some time ago, mainly taken to check garment sizing and overall visual presentation. The most distinctive aspects of this costume are the black curved horns and elf ears on the head, which take some time to secure; the horns at the top have noticeable weight, requiring padding on the forehead to relieve pressure during extended wear. Styling the silver-white wig also required effort—securing the inner wig cap first, then patiently adjusting hair strands so they wouldn't obscure the ears.
The Black dress outfit is tailored from stretch fabric that fits closely, featuring an elegant, flowing long hem on the left and a high-slit design on the right, which highlights leg silhouettes gracefully while walking or posing. The black mesh across the chest and the geometric necklace add layered visual depth, while red and green leaves with red beads at the waist serve as refined decorative accents. The sheer black mesh sleeves are worn separately; although the elastic bands fit snugly on the arms, they photograph remarkably well, adding ethereal texture and movement to the dark aesthetic.
Taken as mirror selfies in a home bathroom under overhead lighting, the contrast between the everyday environment and the intricate Sarkaz costume design made the outfit's craftsmanship stand out even more. Before testing the fit, I deliberately adjusted the waist buckles and necklace alignment several times to ensure every detail stayed true to the canonical Arknights design. As a player, getting to personally try on the wardrobe of a beloved character and experience this heavy dark gothic cosplay style was an immensely enjoyable experience. In reality, the most tedious part was bending down to smooth the skirt, since high slits require being mindful of motion to ensure secure coverage. Posing with my right hand partially covering my face not only cultivated the character's subtle, mysterious aura, but also made taking mirror selfies much easier. While the bathroom backdrop is thoroughly casual, the reflective mirrors and tiles added a domestic ambiance that made this black ensemble look all the more striking. All in all, this fitting session was very rewarding, giving me a clear plan for convention safety layers, proper styling adjustments, and footwear choices between heels or boots for future events. The drape and tailored detailing of the dress truly test one's poise, exuding a quiet, composed sense of power when worn.
