Bai Feng's look was coordinated piece by piece from the wig down to the accessories entirely by hand. The long straight white hair requires extra care to maintain crown volume, so I used a crimping iron to pad the inner roots and smoothed the outer layer along the scalp to prevent it from flattening under the weight of the horn ornaments. The horns were hand-sculpted from lightweight clay, sanded, and painted; the clip angle on the back underwent multiple adjustments to prevent snagging on the wig fibers. For makeup, the focus was set on low-saturation orange-brown eyeshadow with eyeliner winged gently along the eye contour, paired with amber-colored contact lenses to give the gaze a serene, aloof depth. A classic true-red lip contrasted crisply against the dominant white visual center. Setting powder was swept twice to preserve a clean photographic texture and prevent excessive shine on highlighted areas. The base makeup followed a matte finish, with subtle highlights on the tip of the nose and brow bone for dimensional structure, and light contouring beneath the cheekbones to sharpen the profile.
The garment details rely heavily on meticulous styling. The white outer robe features subtle jacquard patterns that reveal a delicate tactile texture under light; the drape of the sleeves is highly sensitive to posture, requiring controlled arm movements when holding the fan to avoid messy bunching. The inner piece features an off-the-shoulder dress cosplay design, where deep blue piping and silver spiral motifs serve as primary visual accents. Once the large bow across the bodice was tied, the hollow pendant and cascading tassel chains below visually elongated the proportions. Beaded strings and white tassels along the waistband sway gently with movement, capturing dynamic grace on camera. Because the shoulders and sleeves are cut generously, transparent shoulder straps were added underneath for support, preventing slipping while cleanly framing the collarbones and shoulder line. The hem falls right above the ankles with an elegant drape, though the lining needs careful smoothing to avoid bunching around the waist.
The ambient lighting in the room leaned cool, so I brought in a warm fill light from the side. The moment I picked up the folding fan, I settled straight into character—keeping fingers light against the fan ribs, turning slightly profile, and veiling half my face behind the fan surface to give the eyes room to breathe. Although framed against familiar wardrobes and cardboard boxes, it carried the authentic charm of experimenting with looks at home. The complete look relies heavily on ornament balance, requiring frequent adjustments to the choker to ensure the metallic pendant and white bow didn't clash. Because the choker was slightly loose, I pinned it from behind to prevent it from shifting when turning my neck. Overall, this styling carries strong visual tension; postures don't need to be complex—simply defining the jawline and giving a focused gaze is enough to anchor the atmosphere.
For self-portraits, I used the rear camera mounted on a phone tripod, boosting the lighting slightly for crisp clarity. Checking the playback, a few stray flyaways poked out on the side, which I smoothed down with a light mist of water before retaking the shot. While the dressing process was elaborate, seeing the complete White hair cosplay come together made every adjustment thoroughly worthwhile. From the horn accessories to the waist tassels, each detail required separate fastening to achieve a harmonious overall proportion.
