[Seele cosplay] Mirrored Flourishes: The interweaving of Ancient style cosplay and fantasy

Today's Seele Mirrored Flourishes costume, the first feeling when wearing it was that the pattern and fabric texture exceeded expectations. The shawl, gloves, and headwear were all made by Xiaoli, and you can see the care put into it as soon as you get the physical items. The two huge blue three-dimensional flowers on the shoulders are the visual center of the entire costume; the blue satin material gives off a very high-end luster under indoor light, paired with the white patterned main skirt body, the overall look maintains the gentleness of Ancient style cosplay while carrying a bit of the character's mysterious feel.

The neckline part is spliced with black mesh and hollow-out designs, adding a layer of sheer feel and making the collarbone and shoulder-neck lines more obvious. Because the skirt hem features a high-slit design, the black cross straps on the thigh have become a very crucial visual anchor point, nicely balancing the negative space of the lower body. Paired with white chunky heels on the feet, it lengthens the leg proportions while allowing stable standing.

The shooting was chosen to be indoor mirror selfies; this method allows me to intuitively see the presentation effect of every movement. The high-slit skirt hem puts demands on posing, requiring the use of the Leg garter as a visual guide. Holding a folding fan and book props in hand allows me to better control hand postures so they don't look stiff, and the blue-and-white color scheme of the folding fan forms a great echo with the costume.

The wig part is dark blue short hair with bright blue highlights at the tips, plus that iconic ahoge on top of the head, paired with blue contact lenses, making the overall makeup and styling fit very well. Due to the many layers of flowers and mesh, the position of the shawl and headwear needed frequent adjustments during wearing and shooting. Although a bit tedious, seeing the layering presented in the photos makes all the efforts feel worthwhile. This styling already has great texture under indoor everyday lighting; if it were an outdoor shoot with natural light, it should present even more gorgeous color layers. Overall, the expressiveness of this custom piece makes me very satisfied, and the solidness of the details provides great support for relaxed movements.
