[Kashino cosplay] Azur Lane: Refreshing Summer Pool Experience

Outdoor summer shoots are always full of challenges, but I was brimming with excitement for this Azur Lane Kashino cosplay swimsuit project. To achieve the most fitting look for the environment, I began consulting with the photography team well in advance. Harsh direct sunlight paired with glare bouncing off the water surface often creates uncontrollable facial shadows, so we scheduled our shoot around 10 AM when the morning light is gentler. The white lace cover-up layered over the bikini turns delicately semi-sheer once wet; to achieve that ideal translucent texture before the lens, I had to repeatedly submerge myself in the pool before quickly clambering back onto the inflatable float to lock down my pose.

For makeup, honoring Kashino's design from Azur Lane, I wore vivid cyan-blue lenses complemented by soft pink eyeshadow blending along the outer corners. The white floral accents and cow-ear accessories on the wig were anchored firmly to prevent shifting during active water movements. Speaking of physical demands, the hardest part of this Swimsuit cosplay was balancing atop the oversized blue-and-white swim ring. Buoyancy kept rocking my center of gravity, demanding constant core tension to steady the upper body while keeping my facial expression and shoulders relaxed and playful. Neck chokers and purple ribbon ties also required frequent adjustment between water splashes to maintain symmetrical elegance.

I particularly adore the shot where I reach outward with one hand—synchronizing graceful finger placement, natural expressions, and curved contours took multiple attempts. Prolonged water exposure washes away sunscreen and causes fingertips to prune, turning every take into a race against the clock. Managing wave drift and fabric clinging around the legs made posing grueling under the sun, yet seeing sunlight refract through rippling azure water across the skin made this Summer pool Anime-style photography set an utterly fulfilling accomplishment.
