This time at the Firefly Anime Convention, I tried out this "The tiger's roar stirs up the wind" White tiger girl cosplay look. From the silver-white gradient of the wig to the realistic hair texture of the animal ears, and to the fluffiness of the tail, the entire styling was designed to recreate the wild beauty of a white tiger along with the cute anime aesthetic. The outfit features an improved qipao style with contrasting black velvet and gold trim; the cutout on the chest and the lace-up design on the sides not only flatter the figure but also preserve the playful nature of a beast girl. The small yellow flowers decorating the plush arm warmers and the bells on the leg rings are the little clever details of this outfit. As I walk around, the light chiming of the bells makes the movements feel more vivid.
Although the temperature was quite high on the day of the shoot, in order to keep the fur fluffy and the costume crisp, I specially prepped the textures of the wig and tail beforehand, and maintained a straight posture throughout to prevent the plush parts from curling up. The photographer captured several angles on the woven rattan sofa, and in the end, we selected this front-facing pose with a raised hand—natural light filters down through the greenery, perfectly landing on the makeup on my face. The pink tone and shifting shimmer of the eyeshadow look incredibly translucent under the light.
As a cosplayer, doing a character with animal ears and a furry tail heavily tests one's patience with details; everything from the angle of pasting the ear roots to the positioning of the tail needs to be repeatedly adjusted so that the effect in front of the lens doesn't look out of place. This time, I tried to combine the fierce tiger stripes with the vibe of a Cute girl with animal ears. I hope everyone can feel this gap moe through this piece of Anime convention cosplay and Anime-style photography!
