For this shoot, I chose a solid-color backdrop for a studio portrait, paired with large areas of white fluffy props as focal points, focusing primarily on a refreshing and healing atmosphere.
When I first got this bunny ear costume with a blue and white color scheme, my first impression was that it had very rich visual layers. The outer white part uses a delicate fluffy costume material, combined with a light and breathable mesh lining. Although it looks airy, a certain amount of structural shaping was actually done internally to maintain the form around the chest and waist. After putting it on, the angle of the shoulder straps needs to be carefully adjusted to prevent shifting. The white wrist cuffs and the light blue lace on the chest complement each other perfectly in color, providing strong overall coherence.
During the shoot, I first tried the stretching pose seen in the first photo, sitting on a fluffy chair and reaching one arm upward, deliberately elongating the body lines to showcase the agility of this outfit. This kind of large movement poses a challenge for expression management, as you need to keep the action light while avoiding stiff limbs or an unnatural facial expression. The second photo transitions to a more static, interactive mode, adding a small cake prop. Following the line of sight, it transforms the atmosphere from a stretch into a daily corner full of narrative.
White stockings combined with fluffy elements make these kinds of textures particularly challenging for lighting. To avoid making the white look completely washed out, the photographer cooperated by adjusting the softening ratio of highlights and shadows multiple times, focusing on highlighting the texture of the fluffy costume and the rim light on the hair strands. The final photos indeed give off a soft and authentic feeling.
Although this outfit was quite challenging to wear, the final photos turned out to have an unexpectedly strong moe-style outfit visual tension. Considering the character's inherent traits, I might have added some personal interpretations to the expressions. Therefore, if anyone feels it is inconsistent with the original setting, I apologize for being OOC here, and I hope everyone enjoys this White Rabbit cosplay set.
