[Hyacinthia Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Gentle Recreation of Pink Twin Tails

This Hyacinthia cosplay setup from Honkai: Star Rail took a lot of thought right from the preparation stage.

The wig uses a gradient split from pink to sky blue. The structure of the Pink twin tails needed to look fluffy and accurate without feeling heavy when worn. I first thinned the wig in layers and used styling spray to set the hair direction, focusing on making the bangs curve smoothly to frame my face without blocking my eyes. The white plush animal ears on top paired with golden small bell hair accessory pieces added plenty of liveliness—this cute animal element perfectly matched that soft, adorable style.

The outfit has multiple layers. The large bright blue bow at the neckline serves as the visual center for the upper body; I repeatedly adjusted its tightness when tying it so it formed a 3D structure. The dark red outer skirt paired with gold embroidery patterns required careful posture control—when kneeling, I had to adjust the skirt folds to prevent fabric from piling up into cluttered creases. The pink-and-white semi-transparent tulle at the shoulders was just the right accent, keeping overall colors from looking dull.

For the photoshoot setting, I specifically chose a metal birdcage and a pure white plush blanket. This soft-textured, clean-colored environment fit the character's temperament perfectly. The studio lights utilized large softboxes to clearly illuminate the sheen on the pink-and-blue wig and the golden hardware accessories on the outfit, rendering overall colors bright and gentle.

To present that petite, healing visual effect, I adopted a kneeling posture with both knees on the ground while holding both hands palm up, simulating a feeling of anticipation or holding a small item. This posture requires keeping shoulders relaxed so looking directly into the camera feels natural. I tried various hand gestures early on, eventually settling on slightly curved fingers to give the scene a softer atmosphere.

For makeup, I selected light blue contacts to echo the wig highlights, bright-toned eyeshadow, and juice-like glossy lip makeup, creating a clear, natural base. Combined with fluffy ears, bells, and adjusted bangs, facial warmth naturally came through. During post-processing, I intentionally retained the warm white color temperature of the set, merely highlighting the gold trim of the clothing and metallic hardware textures without over-editing or exaggerating colors.

Even though holding the same kneeling stance for a long time during this Studio portrait shoot made my legs numb, seeing the final photos capture that gentle, translucent, and playful state made all the sweat feel totally worth it. The pink, blue, and red color scheme combined with cute animal elements under light and shadow truly highlights the character's traits. I hope the attention to detail throughout the shoot conveys my understanding of this character setting.
