This time, my partner and I did a photoshoot with an Azur Lane witch theme, and the character I cosplayed was Wendy from Path to Nowhere. This look has a lot of interesting elements in terms of design and details, such as the iconic black horn ornaments and the gold decoration on the forehead. Paired with a black skirt featuring white edges, the overall visual tone leans dark, yet it retains the lightweight feel of an anime character. During the shoot, I paid close attention to the connection between the props and hand movements; the black gloves I wore had subtle decorative patterns that visually echoed the lace on the dress. My partner's look was another character with a witch style—a black hat combined with light-colored long hair. Our close positioning within the frame brought an interactive atmosphere to the solid-colored background. The lighting on-site was quite soft, relying mainly on diffuse reflection to highlight skin texture and hair highlights, so that the original color layers could be preserved without needing too much post-processing. When doing cosplay, I always feel that the fit between the look and the character is crucial; everything from adjusting the wig to positioning the accessories affects the feel of the final photos. We are quite satisfied with the overall completion this time, as the costume details and the cleanliness of the makeup were well within our control. Normally, when shooting this kind of theme, movements get restricted more or less due to numerous accessories, but this time, because we prepared in advance, I was in a very relaxed state throughout the whole process.
